iF you want a mechanical disc brake you can keep your lever and run a new longer cable , a Box Disc caliper an ICE brake adapter and rotor of your preference , I will suggest between 140/160mm and for sure 160mm if the bike is more used as a weellie bike and you want more brake power

No, it will not , the GT adapters are specific for Speed series frames after 2018 and carbon frames SS

NOOOO THOSE WHEELS YOU GOT KEEP STOCK, THEY ARE CLASSICS WONT SUGGEST DO THAT ALSO HARD TO FIND

If you have a Speed Series wheels (racing One ) yes will work on Chase carbon, the Drop outs on the Chase will give you options for 10 or 15/20mm set ups.

We've doing that based in two factors , Quality Decent hub, that means Sealed Bearings and cassete hub, there are 3 brands running between 199/299$ and then a mechanical brake , that way not gonna brake the bank and you have a decent set up. Dyno's will take a different adapter, we use a lot of the ICE for 140mm rotors and you can use a extender for 160mm rotors

the best will be Profile Disc hubs or you can buy just the rear plus a Good Shimano set up starting on SLX 4 pistons

As it’s a 14mm drop out (freestyle frame), what adapter would you recommend?

it will depend on what kind of bike, for bmx (box profile onyx gt) FOR SE BIKES (profile se hubs onyx and some generic ones)

theirs no point in it tho i have no brakes on my bmx bc my feet work better

Ice adapters will work the best, with 140mm disc rotors and need to figure out what hub ....

@@scottmc8 Just in case you don't have disc brake before, or if your hub is disc ready you will be fine
