Roger Federer's press conferences are almost as entertaining as his matches and that's saying something. He is a great tennis player, great person, great father, great husband, great friend. Almost everything he does he tries to keep everyone happy whilst at the same time achieving his goals. We are witnessing a one of a kind type of tennis player which we will never see again, not in our lifetimes at least. Roger Federer IS tennis, period.
Seems like Roger is one of those rare guys who loves doing these Press Conferences whether he is winning or losing...Probably that's y to an extent these pressers respect him so much as well...
There's a reason why he's the most popular among players AND fans! 😍 He keeps gifting his fans after all these years... Who would have he was gonna win the AO and IW after last year's Wimbledon??! He keeps defying expectations.
At this rate he can retake world number 1 (idk how he has done it he is 35 but age doesn't get to this legend) he has beaten Nadal twice this season, Andy and Novak has had shit starts to the season both of them with injured elbows and he has no points to defend
Federer amazing. At 35. Stan obviously called him name With affection. Felt sorry for Stan. He swings away with passion, and has passion for game. Fed just in the zone. Been interesting to see how kyrios would have fared . I predict he won't win Miami. So hard to win back to back. Congrats to maestro Fed and Stan the man
I think Fed really does have a decent shot at winning Miami. If he plays Rafa again it'll be in the final. I have a feeling Rafa won't let Fed beat up on him like he did at IW. Even though the momentum in their rivalry is with Roger, if I were Rafa I would be thinking 'Imma gonna send a message to Roger, no? Before the clay season..' Point is, if it's Roger-Rafa in the Miami final I'd put the odds right back at 50-50. Another point to make, it's a good idea for Roger to accumulate all these 'lucky' rankings points now because, even though he's playing amazingly, we all have to admit he hasn't faced Djokovic this year. It would be underwhelming to see Roger lose in the Wimbledon & US Open semis, but I don't see any evidence that the changes he's made to his game (pretty much I'm talking about the backhand) will give him any extra advantage when he faces Nole. And that's what's really gonna shape Roger's year--how he performs against Djokovic. And the results at the Slams have been sad for about the past 4-6 years where Djokovic has mostly had Roger's number :(
Wawrinka has been already won to Federer in the Monte Carlo finals. Federer blessed him with a smile then. It is ok that Wawrinka cries, but "asshole"?
Federer would never say that to Wawrinka, even as a joke. Simply because it would not make sense for him to say that. It would sound something like: "He finally beat me on hardcourt after all those years, and he's actually smiling about it. He's an asshole"
I don't understand your comment. He explained why he was laughing. Do you really believe he's lying and actually saw stan crying and just thought it was funny to laugh at him?
