Maybe they need to put some markings down there. They don't realize just how stupid some people can be, especially those with licenses. Even commercial vehicle licenses.
Amazon has surpassed Swift, Schneider, Western Express, JB Hunt, and Fed Ex Ground when it comes to scrapping the bottom of the barrel for steering wheel holders. They can’t even be classified as drivers.
As a former Amazon employee, yes they will just hire any schmuck off the street. I was warehouse staff and not a driver, but even a lot of the warehouse staff weren’t that bright especially some of the “higher ups”.
Fun fact those people who drive the amazon sleepers are not actually amazon employees but an amazon freight partner who is technically a 3rd party company
@@pantsu-sama8311 I've heard that some drivers who were led to believe that they were on the amazon payroll found out that they were considered as ''self employed'' to reduce liability and taxes for amazon
A couple of years ago, before the Amazon warehouse was built in albuquerque, all the Amazon trucks would drop off at our warehouse, and each driver would take 30 min or more just to dock. They are all dumb and do not know how to drive.
I've noticed Amazon hiring alot of independent contractors truckers who you can tell just by their blank stare don't speak or read any English. It's like they learn by people blasting them with the air horn that they can't do something
I absolutely would have positioned my rig to force that driver to back out and use the correct lane Done it before. Always have, always will. Yeah, I'm an arsehole about stuff like that
As a former Transfer Center contractor for USPS, I can assure you they hire exactly this calibre of driver. Plow in doing 30 through a Do Not Enter sign and then take 45 minutes to dock.
I am a courier and can say from first hand observation that Amazon drivers are some of the worst drivers on the road. They have to count to 5 at every stop sign and can't use reverse but they'll do whatever and stop and park anywhere.
That minivan sitting there? And noticed the three white reflective stickers! That's Hallcon! I also work for Hallcon! We help out transporting train conductors to put together their train before heading off. And also go on long road trips transporting both the conductor and engineer from train yard to train yard!
Cool. Do they refer to y'all as "deadhead drivers" or do they use a different term now? Use to do that here in the Southeast out of Chattanooga. Were contracted to haul crews for NS. Worked for two different companies. When the first one lost the contract switched to the second. Pay sucked, about $0.21 a mile. Over the 2 1/2 years drove roughly 250-300,000 miles total. 🤯😵💫😵 This was between 12/95-6/98
Out of Chattanooga we would take crews to their home terminal of either Atlanta, Birmingham, Sheffield, Knoxville, and the long one to Danville, Ky. We also took relief crews out to swap out crews for trains that were going on the hours of service law. On call 24/7. That's why ended up driving so many miles during the time i did that job.
And one last thing, props to all the truckers out there. Back then during the wee hours of the morning truckers were pretty much the only other people on the road. #knowathingortwo because #haveseenathingortwo
He's not stupid. He's in a rush. Amazon demands that their workers go as fast as possible or risk losing their job and being replaced. They'd rather you risk get hurt than peoples packages not being there in 2 days.
Amazon drivers are horrible. I got ran of the road in i75 by one. I was in the right lane doing 75 passing him bc the legt lane was blocked by idiots going 60mph. So i tried passing on the right lane. This idiot without using turn signals merges into my lane while im right next to him. Thankfully there was nothing next to me so i had to run off the road into the grass. When i caught up to him i got his tag and reported him.
