Nora always wanted bo to want her. This has nothing to do with matthew. Spencer was a pycho. That's a good quote " some secrets are worth far more than the truth " Lindsey cant be tried again it's over. Obviously bo really loved Lindsey he almost married her twice until nora busted up both weddings. I'm just saying other than nora bo never went back to the same woman . If matthew wasnt their kid after all I dont think bo would have gotten back with nora. I think the show wanted lindsey & nora to be the younger version of Dorian vs viki. If they wanted that then Lindsey should not have lost bo's baby. Then nora & Lindsey would each have bo's child & something tangible to fight for years about , u know protecting their sons & Buchanan heirs. I know every new regime wants to bring in their new characters & families but jill Phelps turned off a lot of viewers with the rappaport invasion. They all immediately got with legacy characters. It actually could have been worse. Jill was planning on hooking todd manning who was oltls big fish in the 90s with jen rappaport. She originally was older than will. Will was 18 & jen was supposed to be about 23 which was fine to go with the 27 year old todd . Roger was 28 so he was a year & change older than todd who we know was born in 1970 bc of the big lord heir story & him turning 25 which was in 95. Anyway oltl was at the end I'd their 5 year contract with roho which gave him an out clause after 2 years when he returned in 96. Roger left every couple years 3x which always left llainview with a huge hole bc he was their big lead. Anyway sam got brought on as Todd's boyhood mentor & football coach. They changed Todd's hometown from santa Barbara to chicago. I think bc it meant something to Micheal malone bc that's where nora & the gannons were from. It was a smart move on Jill's part to make sam immediately likeable bc todd as bad as what he did to Marty was he didnt get the heros story like luke spencer. The town always looked down on him which I do give credit to the show for making what he did never forgivable. But sometimes it got hard to see him have zero people in his corner other than viki & jesse who were family & the woman he was with. Todd had no Male friends. Enter sam rappaport who knew of his horrendous childhood ( not sure why sam didnt do anything to help him like call social services but it was the 80s & that kind of stuff was kept hidden a lot more than today) & was one guy on his side & who knew the child before he did what he did to Marty & he kinda was soft in him bc he knew peter created a monster. Anyway I liked sam at first & was happy todd had a father figure on the show. They messed up by having sam piss off the hopeful tnb crowd & the bo & nora crowd. These were the 2 biggest couples of the 90s. So they chemistry tested Sam with viki , blair & nora. I think it didnt fly with erika bc they never went there I think bc they wanted to make sam & viki Todd's surrogate parents but not romantic so their attention would be on todd. Remember viki & todd got so close she told him she loved him more than her own children at the cabin. U could see it the way she spent all her time with todd from 96 to 98 & not much with kevin or joey & jesse was still a " kid" on the show. Anyway where sam got hated was when he inappropriately started banging blair , the mother if Todd's young child & ex wife. It was odd to see todd not even care that his father figure was chasing blair. Even being with tea , todd always loved blair is the way I saw it & the way roger saw it with his " rebel acting " to say lines & his attitudes always showed blair was his one true love. He never even slept with tea yet had a child with blair & another one that was lost. So tnb fans hated that & it was so awful during Todd's trial when he was examining blair he was talking to her about " them " that was annoying. Like pay attention to yr client. Then they had sam bang nora bc she wanted to give bo a replacement baby for drew whom they never should have killed off & with the original actor victor Browne could have actually been groomed to be a new todd . They had no clue what to do with drew until they started making him.a darker character who was manipulating kelly for himself & dorian who wanted her away from Joey & started being a little asa clone. Just when he got interesting they fired him than brought on a new actor to play drew who was a cop & another boring good boy Buchanan. It would have given bo some meaty material dealing with a bad boy son. Bo was a horrible dad to drew which was strange bc bo was so ultimate good man. I watched early scenes when drew was a baby & bo like visited him like an uncle. Asa was really acting as his father & wanted to adopt him bc he married Becky lee to raise drew as a Buchanan. Bo was off courting some chick didi & actually was acting ashamed of drew. I was stunned when they had a family dinner & asa was about to mention bo's little boy to his new gf & viki & clint & bo attacked asa. Asa said " are y ashamed of ur own baby?" I was like GO ASA ! THEN asa said I'll adopt him since u never have time for ur boy. Bo was a total jerk to drew & becky. Asa was the only one who seemed to love drew as a child. Then I guess Becky lee left town & I started watching in 89 I had no clue bo even had a son. So their was a lot of story there with bo having guilt over just never seeing his son. It was similar to kevin just letting leeann leave town with duke. We never saw Duke again til he was aged to be old enough to get kelly pregnant. Kelly was weird she was engaged or married to or had kids with all Buchanan boys kevin joey drew & duke ! Who should have only been 12 but was aged to his 20s. Anyway then lindsey came on & clint married her right away after meeting her somewhere. Then lindsey got with bo. Then u had will knock up jesse , her first time & cheated on cristian. Then they bring on ben who was somehow Sam's brother but not bc he was asa & reneas ??? What ? Renea after all those years never told asa they had a bio son. Then they hooked ben up with viki. It was just too much top fast with the rappaports. They just infiltrated every character & without much build up. Like take Jesse who was dating & waiting with cris but boom she just bangs will & gets pregnant at 18. They made too many characters act out if character to force the rappaports to hook onto tent pole families. I never bought ben as asa's son. To me clint & bo were the brothers & had been for so long on the show. Same way I never accepted natalie as clint & vikis. If ur a good character than u earn ur propping by being attached to a legacy family. Adriana too. Never accepted her as a Cramer woman. To me it was always Dorian melinda addie & their 3 girls Kelly blair & cassie & starr & later hope. It's funny how the cranes pretty much produced girls. They had a few boys in there like paul , Jack & zane. Anyway it sux that every new regime pushed new characters bc they got royalties. To me that's money over art & long time characters get pushed aside. The only long lost family members I liked were Tina cord & Todd. Tina was on the show awhile til paul Rauch was smart enough to see tina was languishing & decided to make her a lead & it made sense she was vikis sister bc that's why vikis old college bff dropped tina off as a teen for viki to raise . Cord was a really good new character & I loved the backstory that he was a product of clint & a teenage love maria who was the cook's daughter . Cord & tina had that instant chemistry that supercouple 's gave. To me todd & blair were the younger version of cord & tina in their Insta chemistry. Now Todd manning was a once in a lifetime character that caught lightning in a bottle. It was genius to make him viki & Tina's baby brother . Not only that but todd being with blair dorians niece added another layer to he viki & dorian fued. They finally shared blood in starr & the writers worked that. I loved how jealous Dorian got when viki spent time with starr. Anyway the rappaports had no substance & couldn't hang in there. I have no clue what happened to will & didnt notice how he left. Jen was a ditz & got killed off. Same as sam & they werent missed. Lindsey stayed the longest bc of catherine h. Being a good actress who gave lindsey some depth . In the 80s the o'Neill family all went away. The gannons too. I thought they could have done so much with rj. They never gave him a good Romance. Tea dropped him for todd. The holden family also was dropped. Max had a brother Steve his son al & his nephew Steven. I know jdp was upset when they killed off Max's brother bc without a family it's hard to stay relevant . Instead of creating a new family that lasted they started making everyone part of the lords Cramer's & bukes. I mean rex was clints . So forced . David was bo's ??? Come on. Also David when he started was seriously played character. Tuc decided to make him a trial idior which sucked bc tuc is fantastic & had that great humour like Todd's but they made him get annoying constantly cartoony. Sorry just wanted to write about oltl bc I miss it so much.

Catherine Hickland is sort of unbearable, and HBS overacts when Nora is around Lindsay.
