Dave is usually a much kinder interviewer. Maybe he was just thrown by her beauty, but geez. She was such a good sport!

I thought it was a great fun interview. She’s very much a free spirit who’s clearly not fond of city life. IMO, she was independent and assertive, but also seems really kind. It was fun to watch.

Carson ran circles around Letterman as an interviewer. Johnny was respectful to his guests, funny, and never boring. Dave could sometimes be a horse’s ass.

Enjoyed this interview. Bo Derek is sincere and candid, especially when talking about Hollywood, describing it as ugly and going onto to say that she is very fortunate. It is a breath of fresh air to see this. It was good of Dave apologising for his goofing around. She didn't appeared to be frazzled. She is a class act. Imagine if it was Jimmy Fallon doing the interview, he would be giggling non-stop.😀

She had a completely self absorbed lifestyle. I love her. Never goes anywhere, and has no compelling reason to be rich other than being dazzling looking. Gotta love America.

in her defense, it took me 5 minutes to remember the name of the only high school that I graduated from.... still trying to remember the middle and elementary schools that I went to.... no clue yet... wow... I'm just as smart as Bo Derek. (not sure if that's a good or bad thing)

well back in the day that s jus the way men where! And I think beautiful women would just over compensate by being over nice or acting dumb just to be liked. Today an interview would have to be respectful, intelligent, not condescending and also get the guest to talk about something by making them feel at ease. But still Dave was good and funny only awkward around beautiful women.

I’m not a fan of Hollywood either.

She was (and probably still is) uniquely beautiful (unique look...which LInda Evans had and Ursula ANdreww....intereting John Derke looked fo the same look in his women ...nd found them...2 were "high -profile" in the entertainment biz).... Sadly she i a big of a "bubble head".....or seemed a lot more "dimwitted" then....oddly "less" in "recent years/interviews"....also ODD to find out decades later she is so tiny at just under 5'2. I always thought she wa just udner 6'.....the one time i reget having internet access (so i couldn't loook up her height)....realize she achieved fame in the late 70's or early 80's..pre-internet...and maybe at the infancy of the net...when Google was't realy a thing yet... Google's become such a powerful "research" tool....so muc hinfo can be found if you know how to "ask"....and credible sources oo (mixed with those that arent't of cuorse)... If only Bo WAS 5'111 :)) she'd be aan even "bigger" star...then she''d "appear" 6"3 :)) Funny you coud neve rtell she was so petite in her films (right camera angles, lighting...)
