We could not be more proud of Bo and his epic adventure!! He absolutely crushed every piece of it... From planning to procedure, he made us all so proud to be pilots. Fixed wing and flex wing alike.

Oshkosh trips are the best but yours is so far THE COOLEST I've heard! Last year I went I was up like 38hrs straight. Got up for work at 4:30a.m. got home at 5:15p.m. tried to nap but couldn't. Finished loading the SUV and left home around 8pm. A 10hr drive roughly from home. Pulled into Oshkosh the next morning at 6:30. Found a place to camp...staked it off and headed for the planes. Came back later to set up camp and finally went to bed at 10pm. I'm in my 40s and still had to prove I had some youth still in me! Great job! You will never forget the story.....be proud!

Wing-rockin' accomplishment! You're probably the only para-motorist who flew 1000+ miles to a single destination, albeit via multiple destinations.

Uhh the Icarus race has a bunch of people who fly 1000+ miles every year. Jean Francois Chabaud flew over 6000 miles coast to coast crossed from Florida over the golf into mexico and all the way back to the pacific over in so-cal to get back home.

Seems like aviation keeps recycling. Going back to basics and making it better. What’s next for the ideal personal aircraft? Fly board with a wrist mounted avionics package and liquid superfood and a catheter for long flights? Wait, I think some French guy just did that! Thanks and congrats to Bo and the EAA for posting.

A great Story and a Great Voyage !!! - What a deal ! - I wonder if he had a vehicle with supporters or friends or nothing at all. If he had 'em they clearly did not carry a spare motor. I am very puzzled how high he cruised with that thing. With a machine that slow I would be at tree-top altitude. That also helps a whole lot when facing headwinds! - I have had the experience that a paraglider was damn hard to see or to find in the sky even though I knew he was there and I was actively looking for him... So to fly at common GA cruise altitude with a paraglider I would consider as an unwelcome risk, I would have stayed way low if I were him. I have flown to Oshkosh with Warbirds, but if I ever get to retire I would think following his example would be a great way to get there... Best Regards, From Alaska!
