Imagine living through an era where you got to see Bo Jackson and Dion Sanders playing at the same time. Two of the greatest athletes ever. No one today could shine their shoes.
So stupid. I know they can..It's ESPN, they have them. Im leaving this great interview right now half way through cause I am going to look for his highlights.
He was my childhood hero and the reason I grew up a Raiders fan. Then you add in the rest of the team and they were awesome. He is one of the greatest to ever play and it was a truly sad day when he destroyed his hip.
The younger generation has some good players but they will never understand the greatness of players like Bo Jackson, Deon Sanders, and Michael Jordan. Pure athletic talent and competitive spirit. I hate Bo hurt himself because we can only speculate how great he could be. I feel fortunate to be able to witness it in real life.
@@ericsigersmith2831 I'm an LSU fan but man Bo was in another league. Really a man amongst boys. He is by far my favorite athlete of all time. His ESPN 30 for 30 was great.
One of the saddest things I've ever seen was when he tried to continue baseball after his injury and watching him try to run. To see such a strong, talented man attempt to do what his mind told him to do but, watch his body say no was heartbreaking.
It’s VERY SAD that Bo’s career was cut short by a hip injury! One can only imagine the number of records he would have broken if he had continued to be HEALTHY! THE BEST ATHLETE EVER!
I'm glad I was of age to witness this man. Truly one of the best athletes in history. He was 100 percent class so you could never root against him even if he was playing your team as well
This video would have been better with the clips shown that they were talking about. But Bo was the greatest athlete I've ever had the pleasure of watching. The man was truly gifted.
WoW I can't believe you said he seems like a wonderful person. Causes I don't get or understand it about what you're saying about that cause on the real That one just flew over the top of my head from what you just said so plumb your break's a little bit with that one okay
The Story of Bo Jackson shows that life isn't fair. He is such a Great Dude!! I wish he could of had a long career in either baseball or football. I will ALWAYS have a lot of Love and Respect for Bo Jackson.
@JedirieFTW that injury was insane, Bo explains how because of the way he was Tackled from behind, he pulled his hip out of the socket and tore and artery. And he just got up and walked it off. JESUS Christ! It's as much a Shame as has ever happened in sports. The Sports World was greatly cheated out of what could have been the first person to go into the football and baseball HOF. Not to mention that Bo is nothing short of being a great person not just athlete. Bo is that rare human, that the stories never need to be embellished and often don't do them justice.
The great Bo Jackson was a superhuman being.. everything this guy did whether on the football field or the baseball field is otherworldly.. it was totally insane watching this guy play football and baseball back in those days this guy's by far my favorite athlete of all time❤❤❤
Man , I was lucky to watch him here in Chicago . He is a great and humble legend , many young players should aspire to have his demeanor , a class act .
Bo was the greatest running back I ever saw and a terrific baseball player too. No scandals with him, just went out and proved himself every game. He had a reputation as a great guy and I never heard a bad word about him from anyone.
I'm 41 years old. I was 12 when Bo hurt his hip. Of all the athletes in this world, this is the one man I want to meet. He's humble and he has old school class. I will always look up to this man What a star!!!
Same. I got to see him in 91 or 92. I didn't care for baseball because I was 10 or 11, but I sure knew of Bo. My dad always talked him up, I just watched him the whole time
Bo Jackson was electrifying to watch. My favorite player of all time. Thanks Bo for the memories. You definitely did the right way. You brought it every time I saw you in a game live. And back then Joe Montana was my favorite. Then here comes Bo . Thanks again sir . Wish you and your family the best.
Every kid I knew back then had the iconic “Bo Knows,” poster with him in shoulder pads holding the baseball bat. EVERYONE! What a tragedy it was to have his career cut short. What an amazing athlete he was.
I really appreciate this footage and I watched all the moments mentioned live and I am so grateful to witness such an amazing guy and athlete. Seeing the Bengals game where he got injured was painful to all of his fans as well as himself.
The Chuck Noris jokes should be made about Mr. Bo Jackson. Both men are absolute legends and completely humble. We are all blessed to be alive to see their greatness.
I'm from the generation that watched Bo play on tv, and my friends and I being athletes were totally inspired by him, one of my best friends sons is named after him, also Jackson. He let his actions speak for themselves on the field. Decent interview, but would have been much better had ESPN shown the Highlights, they were discussing. ESPN You dropped the ball on this one !!
Ditto to Charles. I am 65 years old and hands down Bo Jackson is the most exciting and explosive athlete I have ever seen. Keep in mind I was an avid bulls fan in the 90s and watched Jordan play every night
There’s a video of Bo explaining to a child who he is and what accomplishments he had back in the day. It’s equally heartwarming and humbling to see his character.
Not only is he my favorite athlete of all time but probably in my top ten human beings of all time. Thank you Bo. Your character is a reflection of your parents. I can only imagine the pride they have or had in you.
They really should show the highlight as the interview. No athlete in history shined brighter than Bo for such a short period of time in two sports. Just a phenomenal athlete and even better person.
Back in the day , I attended a Royals vs Rangers game in Arlington and I sat in right field close to the wall. Bo came up to bat and hit a line drive which looked like it was coming straight at me. Luckily the ball ricocheted off the wall back onto the field for a double and I was able to keep my teeth intact. Thanks Bo ! Hello from McAllen Texas. 😎
