Love you guys and appreciate your effort to film your journey! It’s fun to relive the trail with your footage and also interesting to see the weather in March. Pretty aggressive doing the mountains that early in the year!

Thanks so much! I’m told that we could see snow in the mountains today

Great job! We were surprised how cold it could get too. We also found the nanobags… great to see you’re using them. Bien Camino!

The senda (the road along the main road) felt endless to me when we walked along it in 2017. But thank goodness it wasn't that cold! Oh, and I also had quite a few blisters when we arrived in Carrion ... the next day I sent my backpack with Jacotrans for a few days so that my blisters could get better (that definitely helped).

The wind and the cold are terrible right now. We also got our first rain today

Oh, and we did our laundry at that same laundromat.....both in 2019 and 2022. It is fun watching your Camino play out day by day in almost "real time", a day delayed I suppose.

I am preparing to give several Camino talks here in Tucson to prospective pilgrims so would appreciate your input on several questions: 1. You guys don’t talk about pilgrim life much, how have you experienced the pilgrim fellowship? 2. How busy is the trail? I know you don’t have a lot of context, but are you waiting in line for coffee ? Is town busy at night ? Are most albergues open or is it definitely “pre-season”? 3. Would you recommend a March Camino or if you had a choice would you wait for April for better weather / services ? A quiet Camino is awesome in many ways, particularly when with your partner, but just curious ? Thanks !

We don’t film or talk about a lot of conversations because I feel they’re too personal. We try a go to as many pilgrim dinners as possible to get the fellowship. The best way to fully immerse in the experience though is to primarily stay in hostels. Trail has not been busy at all. Services are quick and we’ve been able to enjoy most of the real popular spots (think wine fountain) by ourselves. We tend to be in bed by 9 so unsure of town activities. It is definitely pre season I prefer March solely for the quietness of the trail in general

"35 degrees is too cold" For shame. You can take the girl out of Minnesota but you cant take Minnesota out of the girl. Seems this stretch hasnt been as boring as you were led to believe....or at least it seems interesting to me.
