Hi,you are doing great work by bringing the most qualified people on this channel ❤It will be so nice if you can give them more time to explain their knowledge without interfering them since they are the focus of the show 😘

This was great. I lost the majority of my hair postpartum with my second child and it didn't come back. I know some of it was genetics - both parents have hair loss once they hit middle age. However I later realized there were a bunch of things that impacted me - High risk pregnancy (stress), anemia and rapid weight loss postpartum, I nursed for 2 years, had poor sleep, my diet definitely was lacking some key nutrients and my gut health was not good. Gut health does impact your body. I also was diagnosed with low vitamin D about 5 years later and my iron was low which also impacts hair. My hair has improved in density within the last 5 years because I addressed the things that contributed to the hair loss. My density won't go back to what it was but it's definitely fuller than it was. As mentioned seek medical help and get a diagnosis. I don't have a diagnosis however I've not experienced any more shedding since that postpartum hair loss and now have regrowth going on.

I can say that my personal experience was that while me and baby were in the thick of BF, hair growth was on fire. We went 21 months, and near the end, let's just say, shedding kicked up in a big way.

Is it a good idea to see a dermatologist just to get a scalp checkup even if you’re not seeing hair loss other than basic shedding when you wash your hair?

Dr. Lenzy did mention that it’s totally fine to consult with a dermatologist when you have concerns.
