We spend a great deal of time addressing expectations in an around the internet. 99% of our online course, SeeSomeCurls, focuses heavily on setting unrealistic expectations. This kind of talk goes over people’s heads because it’s not a fun or sexy conversation. However each and every conversation in Black Girl Curls Podcast touches on expectations. Expectations are constantly having to be adjusted. As far as me trying products I talk about this on our newsletter, also I try the things that are being sent to me (buying all these products adds up, and the moment I have a very healthy stack of product to get through).

@@BlackGirlCurls Glad to hear you are discussing hair expectations in your course, too bad others are not doing it. But, you are right it’s not fun, so this is why, I guess, it’s not talked about. I mentioned Aveda because your humidity comments, I thought maybe you didn’t hear about their product. Nonetheless, great video.

@@acebutterfly2725 it’s really challenging to talk about expectations in short form content. Topics at round expectations need a long form platform. As for Aveda the conversation around humidity is a current buzz word. The products promise isn’t going to do what you think it’s going to do.

You can just use reduce the amount of humectant products. Simply just use less. We still need them…but we don’t need a lot.

@@samanthajones3049 I haven’t heard anything about hair loss. However, what I will tell you is if anybody would have seen hair loss it most certainly would be the hair stylists who use it religiously. Which alway raises my antennas to their being a user error. This is the same thing that happened with Olaplex and even Deva Curl. Hair just doesn’t start falling out…there are usually triggers that happen around it that are often ignored. I nor any of my clients have experienced any hair loss.

I'm 99% sure (so no one comes for me in the comments lol) that 4-7 was always for a wash n go and 7-10 days is how often you should cleanse your hair... Hope this helps ☺️

I’m not trying to tussle….t’s not the same stifling humidity but the swampy areas of the DMV are very similar to the regions I mentioned.
