If you visit a gym regularly, you'll see a huge spike in attendance during the first week or so of January but everything is back to normal by the 15th at the latest. People are generally very bad at keeping New Year's resolutions and Paula has done her usual amazing job of satirizing the board gamer version of this tendancy.

I don't want to admit it but I am very much that person who hands somebody the napkin and am like, "Oh, but of course, you don't have to.....and would you like to wear gloves while you touch the gameboard so your nails don't scratch it?" XD XD I'm a mess. (All internally, except for the hub!)

This is pure delight. 😆 My resolution was that I have to get rid of a game for every game I buy, plus setting myself a budget. I made it through January without any game purchases (well, except that one expansion....) and on the first of Feb sent a trade request on BGG. 😅

If only AP could be removed with resolutions. And since some people love to turn almost every event into proselytizing about their religion or MLM, being the board game person in the group isn't that bad, right? And I'd hate to be that delivery driver the next day after finding that minute damage.

This is literally what we always talk about in Korean BG communities: stop buying games, stop backing them, is it okay to ask for an exchange for a miniscule damage, not wanting to play with people who thinks for more than 5 minutes! I guess gamers are more or less the same everywhere lol 😆

Overboss is a neat little game! I love its beautiful art. The gameplay itself is a little boring compared to better games, but the packaging is just so satisfying. Opening and organizing the box alone is worth the price of the game, even if you never play it. It's almost like a little puzzle to figure out, but it's easy and so satisfying. Just do it. 😁 (There's a good "box review" on Board Game Geek about this very thing.)
