Thanks for the video. There was a lot of good information presented. Concerning the topic of sleeves, I've found an alternative to the postcard sleeves for the "Settlement Event" cards. Sleeve Kings actually has a size that better fits them (Super Large Card Sleeves, Size: 89 x 146mm.) Surprisingly, they also make sleeves big enough to fit the "Settlement Location" cards (XXXL Super Large Card Sleeves, Size: 101.5 x 203mm.)
Sleeve king makes very nice sleeves for KDM. At the time the BCW sleeves were cheaper and readily available. Sleeve kings have since completed another Kickstarter and are much easier to get. You are correct, they are the better option now that stock has returned.
Great video Bra. Good find with the Artist Box. I’ve really been digging Sleeve Kings lately. I’m pretty happy with the fit and quality. On Amazon, I found Sleeve Kings sleeves labeled as KDM sleeves, sized 52x52 for gear cards. Grabbed them for the GC!
They do work pretty well. I like the coin pages approach for gear cards as you can cut out a 3x3 part of one page to double as a gear grid. Once they are in a binder, the binder also acts as its own storage solution. The best part about KDM is you can use as many different sleeve companies as you like, The decks are independent of one another, so as long as you have each deck in matching sleeves you never have to worry about mixing them. (The rules as of right now at least.)
I been using these same boxes for a couple years now. I have Aeons End in 3 boxes (Mages in 1. Nemesis in another and the market cards in a 3rd). I have Roll Player, and both expansions in another box. Valeria card kingdom and all packs and expansions in a pack. Hexploreit 1 and 2 in a box. Hexploreit 3 in a box with room hopefully for 4 when it comes out. And yet another box for Adventuria and all its expansions. All cards I sleeve with Paladin.
Thanks for show me this I just got back from Hobby lobby I was able to find one in stock in the wooden slats also in stock I’m not using it for a KTM but I’m using it for alter quest which has a few amount of cards little over 1200 or so
Awesome! I am glad that this worked for you. I have not played Alter Quest, but I want to. I backed the "new" Hero Quest to get my nostalgia kick. This solution is pretty good for most card-based board games, so I hope it works out. Before I got so many KDM expansions I used the KDM box for Sentinels of the Multiverse and all of its expansions. Did you use the 40% off coupon as well?
I am working on a mini-expansion for the core KDM game right now. It will require no extra components and is designed for everyone can enjoy it just using their phone, tablet or whatever. It will be a PDF. It is currently at 26 story events (I have 13 finished already) and will include King's Man and Butcher lore deep dives. I will make a video when I finish it covering all the lore and why I wrote it the way I did.
They do seem to be a really great value. The best thing about KDM is that you can sleeve each deck however you like because there is not shuffling them together, like in other card games. Makes things easier when it comes to sleeve selection, no need to stick with one brand and company.
Paladin’s “Percival” double-matte sleeves have been my go-to for playing card size for years. The matte on both sides is super swanky; non-glare non-glossy sleeves make such a *huge* difference in playability. I have sleeved very game in them at this point, *easily* several thousand cards, possibly even 10k. Only to find out that Paladin has dropped matte sleeves from their lineup. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck! Now I need to try to find another maker of matte sleeves. Good luck :/ Also, Tin Man tarot-sized for double-matte.

I just tried a Legendary card stood up, and it does appear that you could store them vertically. You will need to remove the extra things screwed into the top for this to work.
I could see this being an issue if turned on its side or carried by the handle. I use it as if it were part of the board game and not as a transport system. So I store it on my shelves and handle it knowing that the cards inside will shift around. You are correct that this might not be the best transportation solution.
@@noreviewplaythrough4051 If you did not remove the insert piece that comes with it you could glue foam to the back of that. The cards are not higher than the wooden dividers, but the divider deck tabs are. This could bend the top of those dividers. This is a problem specific to KDM however. Dominion I use custom card stack tabs, so those would not be hurt by the foam. This does fit in many board game-specific carrying cases. Those do travel well and keep the board games relatively flat.
