Sir I am in love with this whole project! It's incredible what you have achieved on a budget and especially on minimum wage with little in the way of tools! Ingenuity and drive are what you had and you used them to awesome effect! Just beautiful!
excelente proyecto, actualmente estoy haciendo lo mismo pero con un 80cc , en algún momento pondré un estacionario en V , como lo que hiciste vos, te felicito desde argentina! saludos
It uses a continually variable transmission, or CVT for short. I have not maxed it out but I have had it well above 60mph. There are ways to make it legal but it depends on your state. It's no different than any other custom build motorcycle.
Hey man, great build. I love it. I am actually going to start a similar type of build soon, I had two questions for you man, how did you mount the engine to the frame, and how did you get the power from the engine drive gear to the rear wheel? Thanks for any information man.
www.pipeburn.com/home/2012/10/01/vekst-boardtracker.html Might be late to this but here is an article about this build I found online. Hope you found it useful if not sorry yo bring up an old comment.
Nope, it's all rigid. At some point I might build a leaf spring suspension that bolts to the current fork but not any time soon. Good luck on your build.
+TheBullterrierist i have a 61 western flyer that i'm motorizing, i am currently prepping the frame for an old 3hp briggs, but i found a cast iron 18 hp opposed Toro engine that strikes me now that i ran into your videos, i might use the 18 horse for my 53 columbia, what would be some recommendations considering spoke thickness and frame design?
Heres an article written about this build I found online. Might be useful to someone out there! www.pipeburn.com/home/2012/10/01/vekst-boardtracker.html
It's a Japanese art camera called a Digital Harinezumi 2. I've never had so many people complement this camera, Its kinda surprising. I personally like it but most people don't.
Hi Patrick, Thanks for watching my video and leaving a comment. I'm always happy to hear feedback whether it be good or bad. As for this bike being a "useless rich kid toy" you are half right.....it is useless! The main purpose of this build was to learn how to fabricate a frame from scratch. I learned a lot from this build and that knowledge has served me well in the years since. As for being a "rich kid toy".... at the time of this build I made just slightly more than minimum wage. With a little hard work and determination it just goes to show that anything is possible I hope this bike can inspire others who have similar dreams to pursue them.
Patrick there are plenty of places to "ride" & "race" So what you "thought" is WRONG! So id suggest to you is stop thinking smart ass. (Dumbass actually).
