Boarding Day! Icon of the Seas Inaugural Sailing 

Hi Rosie! I was nervous and excited about Icon but I think it is my favorite new ship over the Anthem of the Seas. My favorite part was the elevators! They're called destination elevators and I wish they would put them on every ship. You tell the screen in the elevator waiting area where you want to go, it tells you which elevator to wait in front of and then you barely have to wait to get in. People aren't pushing and shoving and it wasn't crowded in the elevators because they're bigger in size, too. The ship was also very wide so you didn't feel like it was crowded even though there were so many people on board. I didn't like the surfside area too much because it was a little too loud but the Surfside Bites had the best popcorn chicken and churros. My favorite place on the ship was a little sitting area off from the jogging track on deck 5. It was very quiet and they had nice seats where I could sit and read. I also really liked the Aquadome area and the seating at the front of the ship during the day. I would eat two banana nutella crepes for breakfast and then read there. I thought it would be scary and I would get lost but they did a really good job and it wasn't too loud even when we went out onto the pool deck so I didn't have to wear my headphones. We didn't get to meet Rover so that made me a little sad but mom says we'll just have to book another cruise on Icon when the prices are cheaper. I don't know which ports we went to other than CocoCay because mom and I didn't get off the ship. Dad did a shore excursion in St. Kitts maybe but it was really nice to stay on the ship and feel like we had it to ourselves. If you are nervous about trying it like I was, don't be. Hi Raj, I did notice how wide this ship is, I can see how you would not feel crowded. I also noticed from your video as well as others I’ve watched that there are many quiet little places to go for some peace and quiet. I think Abby would love the water slides and the crepe station, she loves Nutella. Jacob like you would enjoy a plate of his favorites and then a quiet place to hang out or quietly make his way around the ship exploring and looking for Rover. Will you be going on the new one this summer? They are coming out so quickly! The size does have us nervous, some of us more than others but I trust your judgment and we will give it a try. I do hope you make it back on Icon, we too are waiting for a good deal to pop up to see this beautiful ship. Take care Raj, we look forward to your next video. :-)
