Travelling from Honiara to Gizo via ferry boat(MV fair glory) took 24hrs plus. We made couple of stops along the way, only at the main ports (Bunikalo, Gasini, Seghe, Noro, Ring and Gizo) to drop and pick passengers. This trip is a bit special one...Tomoko soccer team, also boarding the ship have won the Solomon Cup for the first time. So its big celebration on every port we arrived to. Gizo is where the team officially welcome back with large crowd of supporters.
During period of of Christmas/December and and early January is the busy time for ferry boats. Ferry boats can be very crowded and not so fun to travel especially if you travelling with kids.
