The video is totally not the mental imagery I get from this... I'm Canadian, first off, and listening to this always made me think of late-summer and autumn mornings out in the properly-rural forest and on the lake/island cottage that I remember from childhood. Serene but bright and warm. Not WW2 aviation. :P
I'm well aware of that fact (and when I first found out years back was actually rather shocked to find out), but their albums have a hell of a lot of Canadiana to them. Impossible NOT to make the association in this country.
Part of the beauty of RU-vid is that people can mix and match sounds with images in creative ways. This may not be the way you saw things, but it apparently is for someone. That in itself is beautiful to me. gg
I remember all the late night bombings runs. We would crank this song on the return flight and feel depressed about all the civilians we just obliterated.
