I love how Olson can be interpreted in so many ways, the original can feel both uplifting and sad/nostalgic at the same time. Midland's take on it has turned the 'uplifting' dial up and the result is absolutely stunning!

Everytime I heard the original, my brain would try to fix the song so the melody followed a steady cadence. I'm so glad this was done here. HUGE HELP.

I love Boards of Canada, and while I feel that this remix does take away some of the atmosphere from the original song, I do like what has been done here. its creative, and I'm just happy other people are inspired by this great music as well

I don't know what the hell you guys are talking about.. I love every single boc track ever made pretty much and this is a different spin on it. It's not meant to take away from boc or anything, it's just different. I personally like what they were able to add to it. It's something new that I enjoyed. So defensive you people.

+skibbli agree with you 100 percent, annoys me when guys havent got a clue about what it means to edit or remix something. its never about flourishing or ruining the track its about ones interpretation on it. music is subjective but should be enjoyed with a broad mind not the defensiveness and negativity seen on here
