Boat holiday in France with Le Boat. Tour around self drive motor boat

We were kindly invited by Le Boat to try out a boating holiday in France. This is a tour around our 39 foot self drive motor boat called Caprice. The tour takes you inside and on the top deck of the boat. We were really surprised by how spacious the Caprice was, with 2 good sized cabins (plus the saloon doubles up as a bedroom for a further two guests), a spacious galley (kitchen), two toilets with showers and sinks (ignore my video that states just one shower, it's two, I hadn't spotted the second at the time!), a large living space in the saloon and two steering stations, one inside and one on top deck outside:) Our full reviews of our week with Le Boat can be found here -

Having owned boats and spent 25 years hiring them on the Norfolk Broads it's so nice to hear the moorings are free, water is free and the best of all shore power is free too!! Oh, the steering area is called the helm btw! Lovely video, high time we hired in France I think!

Thanks so much - today we've booked a boat for a week in France in September (covid permitting) so this is very useful. Hope your travel loving family get some time away somewhere in this crazy year.

Surprisingly big isn't it Danielle! Felt very spacious, even when my boys spread out all of their toys and made themselves at home!

Driving a boat and a car is nothing a like this why none boat people always cause crashes on the Norfolk brouds. What are le boat like are they a decent company to go with many thanks

Darren Philpott we were really impressed with Le Boat. The boat was really well maintained, spotlessly clean too. We didn’t feel stressed about any minor bumps from mooring etc as we were told not to worry about them from the start. We received a thorough briefing before we were let loose and the info pack they provided us with with maps etc was brilliant. Really helpful for navigating the rivers, canals and finding good spaces to stop. The only slight negative is that the french have such funny opening hours and we often found cafes etc to be closed so definitely worth stocking up with a big food shop to have stuff onboard.
