I have cerebral palsy and as such do everything with one hand. Message me the next time you need to know how to do something one handed so you can film it 'cause you made all this super hard for yourself! The electric toothbrush will lie flat on its back if you set it down on a surface. Then you can put the paste on in the usual way. Cracking eggs for fried eggs is always easier on the edge of glass, because the egg is going down into the frying pan, not up. You openned the toothpaste right though, that's something!
A few name suggestions for the boat. As it is a Dutch barge, a Dutch name might be appropriate. Here are a few Dutch words that could work as a name. Vrijheid - Freedom Schuit - Dutch Barge Nieuw verhaal - new story Thuis - Home De reiziger - The traveler Reizen - Traveling (verb) / travels (noun) (they both translate to "Reizen") If you want to know any other Dutch words, let me know.
@@JacobHarrell ‘The Dutch Maiden’ would be good too. I’d say it’d be difficult to pronounce the proper Dutch names. When I speak Dutch among friends they seem bewildered by the sounds 😂😂😂
“There’s always the danger of being burnt... Which is fun” Jacob was soon admitted to hospital after suffering from 3rd degree burns Ps: keep up the good work
I for one would love to see more boat projects! And people love to see home improvement things. (the wabi sab-e channel in particular is a great show of success and has a similar style to your work, you might consider looking into them too!)
How about naming the barge the "Tea Essel'ar". Seems that you're kinda making a home(barge) improvement channel, how about rolling with the idea and getting some sponsors from local craftsmanship stores? Maybe? Also, when's you're next big small trip? for us still stuck at home, it's quite refreshing to see travel vids
Don't let yourself get down about not being employed. People never say to themselves when they die " I wish I would have spent more time at my job working for the man". You are doing something so much more important right now. You are clever and talented, thanks so much for sharing your life.
Even though I have never been to the ocean or have been on a boat that is bigger than a 4 person fishing boat, I think it would be cool to live on a barge. Question: Did you start living on a boat before you lost your job or after?
Not true that you didn't achieve anything. You did achieve a lovely lunch and row and put together a lovely video that diminished the stress I've had today. Thank you
You should name your boat stilcrazy. Bc it's driving you crazy.... lol... and I wood be honored if you would use part of my name. The stil is the 1st 4 letters of my last name. & the crazy is bc that was my Nick name. Crazy Chris..... so when I got married it became stilcrazychris...... there's the story how I got my now handle stilcrazy after all these years... lol... Good luck oh all your repairs & job seeking. Wishing you the best, Chris from Missouri
Interesting video, what made you decide to live on a barge, cost or life style ? Where did you find your boat, it's a really cool space, think I'd have to call it, Nowhere. Because That's where it's going without an engine!
I don’t really have an interest in boats or houseboats, but I love your video style and find myself happily joining you on your video journey even about boats. I find myself wondering why you chose to live on the boat, how your partner feels about it, what your neighbors are like, and how you get plumbing and electricity.
How about Berth-a? Get it berth ... lol Just kidding. I think your life is really interesting. I would love to live on a boat. P.s. i like the oil lamps but something safer would be better battery operated.
Thanks Jacob, you are a good guy, funny happy and wholesome and we love the little quirks and boat life! Hope you keep growing and enjoying life and doing good
I just found you from great big story. I’ve watched so much and I love you as a character. Keep it up man! You have my support! I watch you in school and my teacher loves Great Big Story. Will show my class your videos and hopefully will get you some subs.
I´m maybe a little late to barge in on the name game but as I noticed much like me you often end up counting to 10 when things don´t go quite as planed ...though here in Germany I frequently find myself just saying "Acht Neun Zehn". So I thought with a touch of playing with absurds, ~Ark 9 Zen~ would make an interesting name. Hope that doesn´t sound too double Dutch. Anyway I´ve sub-merged myself in your cool watery lifestyle channel. Permission to come aboard sir :)
I have a beautiful completely original 1966 - 132ft (39 meters) Dutch Barge currently for sale. It's just been to the dockyard and is in amazing condition with certification for the next 7 years - located in Belgium. Don't hesitate to send me a message if you're interested and I'll provide all relevant info.
I have a GoPro and an Octopus clamp and it's helped me in my shop and workshop.... (one day in a dutch barge).... but honestly you are hands free when the GoPro is fixed and you can edit and re-edit the footage or mute and as background tunes (like an iPhone on a octopus) etc etc - nice footage BTW
You are a hoot! This coming from an "older woman" loving the boat, tiny house and everything! Did your parents teach you all those skills? Am forwarding to my 2 sons who I hope one day to inspire to build/create their mom's boat/tiny house. One final word - WINE!
Amazing video! Thank you for sharing snippets of your life. It is so interesting! Note: To make Siri respond better, go to Settings > Accessibility > Siri > turn on Always Listen for “Hey Siri”.
Dear Mr. J. as a German I need efficient information ;-) Could you possibly tell us something about costs? Boatprice...? Thank you anyway and have a nice day.
I'm So glad I discovered your channel. Watching you do what you do relaxes me and makes me smile and your breakfast made me hungry for, well, your breakfast. 🥚 🥓 🍳
If you can get Bondo to fill in for wood rot it dries harder than wood or I looked up on Amazon uk and there seems to be a comparable item U-POL Isopon easy sand body filler P38 600ml. Hope this is helpful
Take a small saucer, wet it down (or leave it dry), squeeze a small amount of toothpaste onto saucer. Then take your toothbrush and scoop up the paste and brush. I have not tried this...so.
