Hi Phil, I've only found your videos 2 nights ago and I'm through to episode 28 already and love each one. I've a 1992 37' Haines Aquafibre afloay in Ireland and its in need of various repairs you have carried out. Great detail. problem solving and very handy tips which gives me a bit of confidence. Sure how hard could it be... you make it look easy. Thank you for all your and dare I say Johns fantastic work. Best videos on this RU-vid. Well done you

Many thanks for your kind words, John won’t have seen them yet as he’s working somewhere at the moment, but your comments make it all worth the effort we put in, there’s sadly not enough what I’d say uk boats being restored on the tube for us all to learn and have a go, so I was determined to do this on film from start to finish, hopefully I’ll be successful in completing her one day so thanks once again and for subscribing 👍🍻🙋‍♂️

you are an inspiration buddy. I just bought a Nauticus 27 and it is going to need the window seals and oak panelling to be replaced at some stage. Thanks to people like yourself, i can watch over and over in order to plan and do the work. many thanks indeed.

Thanks David, I’m touched by those words, I’m hoping to get back to work on her soon, Covid has taken it out of me a bit, so once I’m fit we’ll be back. Glad you’ve got one also as these boats are really well proportioned and well made, they deserved be on the water... 🙏🍻👍

Hi again Phil and Happy New Year. Still looking forward to the next instalment. Just a minor observation, in video 17 or 18 when you dressed off the top edge of your panelling using some aluminium angle. You could also have used some wooden "Hockey stick" moulding. As the name suggests, it's hockey stick shaped, and fitted vertically, it will curve very easily, and will cover the raw edge, leaving a tiny upstand, or lip, along the top edge. This helps prevent things on the shelf section from rolling off. I think it would look better than the aluminium too. But keep up the good work.

Hiya 20jpd, I’ll have a look at that moulding thanks, I’m not totally happy with the aluminium finish to be honest so thanks, as for next episode,we’ve done about 30 mins on it so won’t be far away, it’s been a long time coming I know. Thanks for input and support 🍻🙋‍♂️

Hi Phil and greetings from Ireland. I'm enjoying your videos and your general approach, although I can't find them organised in any chronological order. Probably my fault! I'm also a big fan of "Travels with Geordie" and look forward to each new instalment. Keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing her get wet.

20jpb thanks very much, I’m a big fan of the Irish ( being a Murph) , as for the video order, I think if you click on my main page it should have video at the top, then scroll down and I’m sure they are numerically in order, thanks for watching, the next episodes not complete as yet due to work commitments, so hang on 🍻🙋‍♂️☘️

Hi Keith, thanks for keeping in touch, a few things have gotten in the way of boat progress, Producer John is away a lot , I’ve had gout issues that’s kept reoccurring constantly, which is difficult as I’m constantly up and down the ladder to get on the boat, and now stepfathers passed away only a couple of days ago, so thing’s are a little against me at present, however be rest assured, I will be in the saddle doing the video’s as so as physically possible dear boy , thanks for your patience 🍻🙋‍♂️👍

Hi Markus, check out Episode 18, around 30 minutes in, you’ll see I’ve installed wood strips, I’m hoping that these will secure the ceiling sections, I’ve also got two rolls of heavy duty Velcro just incase it doesn’t hold, but I’m confident it will . Regards Phil 🍻🙋‍♂️
