I would add to run those diesels under load, not just idle. In the fire service, our diesel engines have a ton of idle time and that increases maintenance issues. Totally agree, run those engines persistently.
We decided to follow our dreams after watching your videos. I grew up in San Diego, then moved away & missed it every since. We still live in AZ, but we bought a 52' Camargue in San Fran & brought it to Pier 32. We are hoping to move it closer to downtown at some point. Thanks for posting your videos!!! Sheryl & Dennis
Great tips, thanks. For removing rust cheaper than buying the remover; Bye Oxalic Acid powder usually Amazon for $15.00. 1 tablespoon to 1 gallon of warm water to help dissolve and spray on the rust or mustache of your bow/hull.
Simple Green in a 2-1 to 5-1 mixture and a stiff nylon brush is all you need for your boat. It even dissolves spider crap without hurting any surfaces. Buy it by the gallon.
