Great timing on your anchor video. Our windlass stopped working last week on our 1987 47' Marine Trader. I have voltage on the motor but the motor doesn't work. It have the burnt wire smell. I hope I can get the motor rebuilt or replaced. The Windlass have been painted so I am not sure of the brand. Any suggestions? By the way, this is the boat you and I moved from Madisonville La to Carrabelle Fl. Been doing a lot of work on the boat. Replaced the Strataglass, engine wet exhaust hoses, flybridge cushions upholstered, and more. Always something to do on a boat.

Just finished 3months in the keys with new ⚓ system. This trip lacked any anchor concerns or dragging of previous trips. The benefits and freedoms are more then I have time to Point out, I can't agree with you more,
The grand banks 36 came stock with 5/16 chain, the boat weighs 26,000 lbs and according to weight charts 5/16 is too small, 14,000 lbs......not sure why they chose 5/16
