Just plain jumbo porgy action in NYC!. The area by the bridge is getting busier and busier as the porgy action gets better and better. There is plenty of fish to go around and they are being caught on almost anything. On this day I caught my limit and shared it with friends and family. My bait of choice for big porgies is Asian shore crabs. I stick to either 3/4 oz to 1 oz tog jig with a 2/0 hook, if I have to use a rig I use a 2/0 3/0 octopus hook on a dropper loop and 2 oz 3 oz medallion sinker. The fall run is just around the corner and I can’t wait. Thank you guys for watching!!.
