Last December, the game show world has been fortunate enough to welcome bob to Birthday #99. Now that he's at that age, this is his ultimate journey and year, to reach his next birthday penny, to be worth $1.00 on his own Big Wheel. Keep on spinning, Mr. Barker! We love you and we miss watching you on "The Price is Right"!
I wrote a letter to Bob Barker asking if he would be my Dad because I didn’t have one. He sent me an autographed picture which I don’t have any longer. I was 8 years old. Loved him and thought he was the nicest man.
Some of those clips seen of those wild contestants. Melanie from 1991, Pauline the Grand Game winner in 1980 who chased Bob, first 2 Samoans I haven't seen those episodes, Salvatore who won a car in Any Number in 1983 (#4822D), and Yolanda's wardrobe Malfunction, September 14, 1977 (#2473D), as seen in The Price is Right 25th Anniversary Special. The wheelies who fell down spinning the wheel, as seen on The Price is Right 25th Anniversary Special.
The first episode of The New Price is Right didn't have Clock Game, it had Any Number, Bonus Game, and DOuble Prices. Games didn't have titles on the gameboards until a couple years into the run. Five Price Tags which debuted in the show's first year still doesn't have a title on its gameboards.
Oh how I wish Rosie took over for Bob after he retired. In an alternate universe I daydream that this is what happened. Rosie as host of Price Is Right🌟 How wonderful it would have been 💕
