Truer words have never been spoken! There was always something magical and calming waiting for 11am to be greeted by Bob. Also I quit watching when he retired because it felt like the show lost its soul and I couldn't stand Drew. Oh one other thing is that Bob refused to have the set modernized and that was the final nail in the coffin for me as the show was completely bastardized with all the changes.
I hardly think so. He'll be 98 and even now, he's in very fragile health. Besides, it sounds very much like he's moved on and put the past behind him. Perhaps it's time we did too.
@@hughjass1044 there was a raw video up on here of him being transported in one of those vans in a wheelchair around LA but hes still hanging in there at 97 during all this covid madness
I hope he does! He deserves it! He's been the host since '72, which by the way, was the year I was born, Drew is a lackluster host, who needs replaced. If I were head of CBS, I'd be looking harder as being the host of Price is Right, and limiting his power and influence on the show. It's the same thing for Jeopardy too. I don't like Ken. I don't care that he won half a billion dollars over a period of 15? years. He somehow won't get more engaged with the contestants. Milam did, as well as the others who came before him. They seemed more in tune with the contestants, as well as the show. Now, they may not have the power to control what subjects were. Now, I'm not sure what happens after taping. But, that's not my problem.
The shocking revelation of a relationship with one of his models is not shocking to me , Bob's wife died in 1980 , and therefore you can't cheat on a deceased wife . He absolutely should be the main focus of the 50th show anniversary! He's a great advocate for animal rights , and humane treatment , Bravo to Bob Barker!
@aDg 2k18 I don't know the truth. unless we were there, or able to truly know someone's heart we would not know. I do know, I have been a object of insane gossip, and there was not much I could do about it. Lies gain strength when the media goes unchecked , like what's happing right now as well.
It honestly does matter when Bob Barker has sexual relationship with any woman to whom he is not married. It matters because God through his word says it matters between right and wrong! (Matthew 5:27-32; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Revelation 21:8) No person's race, wealth, or popularity will be of concern on the great day of judgment. (John 5:28-29; 2 Corinthians 5:10)
@@mikerichards1264 My point has nothing to do with the Bible . I honestly don't know if Bob sinned , neither do you ! As for the models , their credibility should be checked . And you Mike are surely a sinner , as we all are ! Do not judge , lest you be judged !
@@MarcoPolo881 what God's word teaches stands true now and will stand at the judgment, for me, you, and all human beings. That was and is my point. It is positively wrong when any man (me, you, and all others) and woman have sex outside of marriage. You will undeniably know this on the great day of judgement. That was the point I made. Sacred scripture teaches this.
Even though I am retired, I barely watched The Price Is Right with Drew Carey. It just doesn't seem as much fun. I have watched The Price is Right (The Bob Barker years) with Bob Barker on Pluto TV. Brings back fun memories.
Yeah, Bob was the best. Drew did seem to have a disconnect from the contestants for quite awhile. It would be great to see Bob on the 50th, but seeing him so frail might be too sad.
Also notice how nice and polite the contestants were. 🤗. Now the show is having every single contestant come out acting hysterical. It's supposed to make the show "exciting". Please.
I love Bob Barker. I hope Bob Barker is doing ok and I'm hoping he does return to the show for the 50th Anniversary Celebration. I'm Praying for him and hoping he makes up to his 100th Birthday in two years.
Nobody is dwelling on the negative. YOUR comment the only thing dwelling on the negativity. 99% of Price is Right videos on youtube DO remember/focus on the positive. There's nothing wrong with telling/reporting the whole story of something. Purposely being blind to the truth/whole story is ignorant and cowardliness.
As long as he’s alive, I prefer that anything said about a public figure is better than waiting for them to die and then rake them over the coals while they’re unable to defend themselves.
Bob , as a former member of a marching band, I want to thank you for being such a gracious parade host and always allowing the bands to be heard without talking over them. Price Is Right is nothing without you. Thanks, too, for your defense of animals. Well done, sir! I wish you peace and comfort. God bless you, Bob!!
I grew up watching The Price Is Right. I still do watch the show from time to time. I do hope to see Bob Barker make an appearance on The Price Is Right 50th anniversary show. If his health would allow him to do so and he's still alive by then.
The show died for me when Barker left. Having watched the show since the late 70s to me there can be no other host. Besides I agree with Bob on Drew's hosting ability / techniques
Who cares drew is the best Host ever I feel in my opinion Bob And drew is the best Host ever in my opinion without Drew there'd be no show the would have got canceled in my opinion if Drew Carey did not take over whoever took over the show you guys would have been complaining anyway I'm glad that Drew Carey took over the show he saved the show in my opinion and for you not watching the show now it's sad and the show misses you in my opinion
Hopefully Bob Barker will come back for the 50th anniversary, if it is still on. It's not the same with the Covid format. The contestants seem so fake in their enthusiasm when they come out.
@@GameShowFan9001 When he did go back on for his 90th birthday, he said on an interview after that he is invited back when he turns 100. So if he lives to 100, he may come back to the show.
Bob Barker is a host that is a hundred times than Drew Carey. In fact, I was disappointed to hear the network's choice. I think Tom Bergeren would have been much better. I love to see episodes that Bob is on. He is the quintessential host. Like Jeopardy is linked to Alex Trebek, The Price is Right is linked to Bob Barker. I think any host will not be completely able to fill either hosts' shoes. RIP Alex. Many happy more years to you, Bob.
I think youd make a good game show producer. I like bergeron better than bob or drew either one. Their bantor and likeability make the show. I also like that guy that did love connection first sign of alzheimers cant remember his name.
It’s true Bob Barker was irreplaceable on the show. With the choice of Drew Carrey though, it’s like they didn’t even try. He is so boring and lifeless, I truly don’t understand how the show stays on the air today. The few times I have tried to watch in recent years feel like lost hours of my life.
Bingo, Michael spaulding...barker NEEDS To make an appearance, provided HEALTH ALLOWS...he IS MR PRICE IS RIGHT for ANYBODY under the age of 50 and OUR GENERATION!
That stems, I think, from his Native American heritage. The love of the land and all animals is clearly within him. He is listed as a member of the Sioux tribe.
He basically stated that Drew isn't charming. I've binge watched the hell out of '80s Price is Right on Pluto TV. Bob had an uncanny ability to make snappy jokes and connect with contestants quickly. As the show's producers stated, they often did no editing because it was right on time. He was the best ever.
Bob needs to be in comfort and protection at his age. Very few people are quick and spry in their late 90s. I loved him from the late 50s on. He WAS really engaged with his contestants. I am very happy to hear of some of the ways he helped relieve suffering of animals. Animals need people’s help.♥️
Bob is a genuine legend. I like how he builds up the excitement when he's about to reveal the price on something. I was lucky to be called down in contestants row. He loved my license plate I brought with me. I♡TPIR it got me picked.
I always thought that Bob Barker didn't really like hosting the Price is Right. He lost his patience many times with contestants. And sometimes acted superior to them.
You probably would too if you had to deal with some of the absolute assholes that sometimes appeared on stage with him. Any job where you're constantly having to deal with an ever changing array of people is like that. Most people are fine but some are just beyond insufferable. Ask anybody in retail or the service industries.
@@hughjass1044 True, but Barker was being paid quite a bit to put up with it. I can understand doing the show must have gotten old for Barker, but can't understand Barker criticizing Drew Carey...
@@fleetwin1 I agree about the criticism of Drew Carey. I think it was unnecessary and uncalled for. Even if that's how he truly felt, he should have kept it to himself. It's not his show anymore. It is hard enough to follow a legend without that legend then throwing shade on you when you're no doubt doing your best. He had his run and had retired and it's unseemly for someone in that position to hang around afterward and criticize.
Quit watching "Price is Right" when Bob Barker left the game show. I grew up with relatives that always watched that show. I didn't think the show was the same after Bob left. He was part of my childhood years.
If Bob makes one final appearance, hopefully it will be for season 50, but odds are if he does, it will probably be via a video call (Zoom) rather than in person.
Barker is our hero for working on behalf of animals. It's great that he has made it into the golden years. We like Drew Carey also but Bob Barker is special! 😊
I agree with Bob Barker. The show did become boring once Drew Carey took over. I watched Drew host the show for a couple episodes and then I stopped watching The Price is Right. I like Drew Carey but I think he's boring as a host.
Drew Carey did start out a little slow, only because he was the new host at the time. He has progressed overtime and brings so much energy to the show, and not make it all about him.
Barker loved the price is right...it was his life. The show is not the same, I'm a viewer of the Bob Barker price is right and I have not watched Carey's price is right once. Bob loved the price is right
I agree with Bob Barker's comment on being entertained as he related to the contestants. He was able to engage his viewers and contestants. I will miss him.
I pray he will be able to make the 50th Anniversary. That is his show. After seeing a couple of shows with Drew as host, it stunk I stopped watching it.
I'll be 52 this month, and I don't take anything away from Drew Carey. I just know that he would not even have the show if it wasn't for Bob Barker and the cast around Bob, the original Barker's Beauties, Johnny Olson and his replacement when he passesd, Rod Roddy. They all made the show the best. Now that Drew Carey is the host I don't think the audience participants treat the show the same way they did when Bob was host. They dress like they just got out of bed, they're very rambunctious, they think they gotta show off, dance and act silly, and high five everyone in the audience before they get to contestants row after their name is called. They also jump all over Drew when they win or get up on stage. Somethings you would have never seen with Bob. Personally for me I did not like when the show decided to add male models. These are some of the reasons that I don't watch the show but very rarely anymore. Because of being in school, I watched it as much as I could when Bob was host. I'm soo glad though that the Pluto TV streaming app now has a 24 hr Price is Right, the Bob Barker years channel on. I can watch all of the old Bob Barker episodes. Like many, I would like to see Bob on the 50th Anniversary show in person if his health will allow it, but it will probably be virtual if at all.
I agree with Bob about Drew Carey. Carey is a great comedian and was perfect for a show like Whose Line is it Anyway, but he is dull and lifeless on the Price is Right. I watched a few episodes of his around 2007 and 2008, and he always seemed so stiff when talking to the contestants. I'm honestly surprised he's managed to keep the gig for the last 14 years.
Even now a days, Bob Barker can't host The Price Is Right anymore, because he doesn't have the strength or the energy to keep hosting the show. Drew Carey should deserve as much credit as possible to keep the show moving forward. We will always have memories of Bob Barker if anything happens to him. So let God decide how long Bob Barker's life will be gone for good. He has & always will be a wonderful host. Good luck Bob if you can make it to 100.
I loved it when, he hosted Truth - OR- Consequences, I was so sad when, it went off, it was my favorite. Then, after Truth -OR - Consequences then, it was the Newly Weds that’s when, the 7pm evening hour of tv wasn’t so boring that what regular tv has become today. It was great growing up in the 70s.
I watched Truth or Consequences religiously every night at 6:00pm in the early 70s during my grade school years, and well remember the very first The Price is Right episode when it was just a half-hour show, when brand new automobiles featured on the program were $3,500! Growing up in the 70s indeed was the bomb.
If you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all. I think Drew does an awesome job Bob Barker has no class it surprised me he said all that. Always liked Bob too wow
Drew has made the show entirely his own and I’m perfectly fine with that. And he’s obviously he’s doing something right since he’s been hosting the show for almost 14 years. And Bob has admired Drew and respects Drew. The two try and catch up every so often.
I grew up watching The Price Is Right and loved seeing Bob Barker. I no longer watch the show since learning Drew Carey took over. Drew ruined it for me.
So true Kate Jagger...my Dad worked nights and my Mom days, so that someone was always home...PRICE IS RIGHT was a Daddy/Daughter sick day from school activity
