Yeah, one source I found said it was recorded at the Gaslight. However, another said it was recorded at Gerdes! So I don’t know who to believe.

Audio only? With Audacity Open Source audio software you can remove LP noise and clean and normalize and make sound fuller.

I remember a commercial in the ‘70s for an album “with authentic surface noise from the era.” I laughed because I knew they were trying to cover up for a bad recording and I had many records I had worn out to death that sounded like someone had eaten lunch off them. But I kind of like this warts-and-all recording. Things way too polished these days. Just because we CAN hear every note of every instrument in a mix these days doesn’t mean we SHOULD. Or that things should be remastered or corrected to a fine sheen. (I’m thinking the record commercial was for Tennessee Ernie Ford or something. Or Conway Twitty.)
