This woman was truly in love with Bob.... Whenever they are together, you see that she can't get her eyes off from him! She must have cried many tears when she found out he was not really interested in her, when he ignored her during their 1965 UK tour, when she found out he married Sarah without telling or inviting her..... She was not the love of Bob''s life, and that must have been painful for her....

"I don't look much like a lover" Bob you didn't have to. You have the the world in your poetry and beautiful blue eyes. What more could anyone want. Such a miraculous gift to us all.

She loves him madly, it’s so obvious...and he didn’t even comment on her sexy dress, but he loved it silently. They should be like Bogart and Bacall, gorgeous and in love ♥️♥️

Holy fuck, loved the first conversation between both of them. I don't know why but they look so happy talking about anything. They seem to be so happy together, they don't even have to speak that much. Perhaps one day we will all find someone like Bob or Joan and we can just speak a little and spend the time together without saying that much and still feeling great together.

The Muse was far greater than their love for one another. They each surrendered to a higher calling for art, but I can see here how much they liked the other. Joan is one very strong lady.

I would love nothing more from these magnificent artists than for them to record an album of duets together: it doesn’t matter what they would sing-his catalog, folk songs, standards, new material, a potpourri. Just to hear them together-one more for my baby and one more for the road...

I can't like this enough, The scene , the video, and most of all Bob's amazing singing. He is not only my favorite songwriter, but when he covers other people's songs he defies the argument that he is not a great singer.

Nice little vignette. I didn't know Dylan did this song. In his early days he did a lot of common folk songs, before he started writing his own songs. It is amazing the long trajectory he has had, and is still having. I only saw him once, in 1991, during his mumbling phase. I knew the songs, so I didn't mind much, but the woman with me didn't, and hated it. He's a complicated guy, but a national treasure. Thanks for posting this. I should mention that I saw Joan Baez in 2003 or so, and she did Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts, one of my favorites, and her version was almost as good as Dylan's. She didn't miss a beat, did the whole song without error, with her beautiful voice. She joked about Dylan too, said he sang the song to her calling from a phone booth.

No matter what, Bob and Joan have a special bond. It's always there but the fact remains is that Bob never looks as happy as he does when he's with Joan. And he knows that Joan will always tell him the truth.

to be them at that time in history , to meet, to fall in love and lose at the love they shared with the music that they left us with is something that got me through youth. oh hell yes they were young and the created magic

Yes, Spanish is the loving tongue... I didn't studied Spanish and I can wrote and speak It. I have studied English for a long time and i don't learn it... I loved this video. I remember Dylan and Baez singing together when all we were young. Both of them are very loved in Brazil since that times... decade of 60. Thank you Swingin'Pig.😘

Oh, brave Joanie. She was so deeply in love with Bob. But she always maintained a stoic and dignified manner. She knew that she, nor any woman, could ever "own" him. Today, they both live in California but in different areas. When asked if she ever saw or communicated with him, she said "no". I find that sad.

Hay una parte del documental de Scorsese en que Dylan dice que no sabe qué pasó, y que creía que Joan venía de otro planeta, que nunca conoció a alguien así, aún lo piensa, quizá al final de sus días puedan sanar sus corazones.

I saw them at the Capitol Theater in Ottawa Canada in 1965, they were wonderful together so entertaining and we all had so much fun that evening. I will take those memories with me.

Anyone interested in more of Joan’s recap of rolling thunder check out her autobiography “and a voice to sing with.” The rest of the book is worth it too. She’s an incredible woman deeply committed to her values and very intelligent. She’s very different from bob in key ways that point to inevitable incompatibility in a romantic partnership. Plus it doesn’t appear that bob is wired for monogamy/long term marriage, which I don’t think is shameful, but it was in his time and maybe that’s why he was so dishonest with joan and presumably others. What’s interesting to me though, is that none of the music he’s made post-Desire, which also means post-divorce, can compare to his work up to and including Desire. For me, it’s not just the deterioration of his voice, something also feels missing in spirit. That’s only my opinion, please don’t sent the rabid Dylan disciple hounds after me lol

Bob had spoken of his infatuation with Joan's beautiful younger sister, Mimi, also a talented singer/guitarist. Richard Farina fell in love with the 17 year old Mimi, left his folk singer wife, Carolyn Hester, and married Mimi in 1963. They formed the folk duo of "Richard and Mimi Farina" and were critically acclaimed until his death at 29 in 1966. Mimi passed away at 56 in 2001... RIP.
