I love Dylan's response to Led Zeppelin's manager Peter Grant at a party. "Hello Bob, I'm Peter Grant. I manage Led Zeppelin." "Hey, man, I don't come to you with my problems."

Hahahaha!!! That is funny. (If it is true). And it may be true...but one has to be careful what we hear throught the grapevine. It is like...people say John Lennon made the statement, "Ringo, isn't even the best drummer in The Beatles". There is no solid evidence that John actually ever said that. It is really just a rumor. So one does have to be careful about what was really said...and what may just be myth. With that said...I would not doubt it is possible Dylan made a comment to Peter Grant like that...and it would be classical Bob Dylan. Very witty and funny, if it is true. Lol. The

@@baberoot1998 it's true what you said about John Lennon never saying that about Ringo and the drumming. It was said by a DJ as a joke (fact) but people believed it was actually Lennon but it definitely wasn't. Ringo was without a doubt the best drummer in The Beatles. Paul McCartney plays really well on drums but even he admits to not being able to do certain things that Ringo can. Poor Ringo just cops a lot of shit because he happened to be in a band with three incredibly talented guys. But after nearly 60 years it's probably like water of a duck's back.

John Lennon and Bob Dylan are my two favourite songwriters, between them they wrote some of the greatest songs ever written. In the '60s they changed the music scene for the better, thank god they came along. RIP John Lennon and George Harrison ✌️

The Beatles as a whole changed the music scene not just John. whether for better or worse who knows.. that's up to you... What I do know is that music scene is no longer an existence

@@pgroove163You're right,it was The Beatles as a whole, not just John Lennon,I just mentioned Lennon and Dylan as they are my favourites, but you're right John was part of a band. I think they influenced the best of the music scene in the '70s onwards, the likes of Bowie, Neil Young, Nirvana,I know Kurt Cobain was a huge Beatles fan, there's bootlegs of him singing Across the Universe and Julia, also the best of what they called Britpop in the '90s. Also,I agree with you, there is no more music scene,or what music there is,is absolutely terrible, let's hope there's some young lads out there, getting a band together, into the music of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones,Bob Dylan, The Doors, Velvet underground, Simon and Garfunkel, Love, and start another great music scene. One can only hope. ✌️

Not that nuts really, he refers to missing Traffic and Cream, two bands that were only together for a short time and had split up when this interview was recorded. Cream lasted 66- 68 and Traffic 67-69. The two main players from each band Clapton & Winwood had just formed Blind Faith, so he's just joking that they won't last long either, and they didn't.

Jann is a terrible interviewer. But he must have been able to do something to get in a room with Bob at this time to even be able to ask him these questions. So he had something going for him. But seriously, dude. Bob hung out with John Lennon once like 15 years before this happened. Didn’t mean a thing. Show business people see each other sometimes. No big mystery there. Bob checking out and being unaware of what was happening at the time and feeling guilty about it is interesting. His best question.... is about Traffic? How about: if you aren’t into what’s going on in music right now what are you keeping up with?

Seemed very cagey around the subject of lennon. Lennon secretly idolised Dylan and tried to out Dylan Dylan with his politicised stuff of nonsense, like ''bedins" and his pin point politcal stuff like attaca state toatly missing the point of what Dylan had being doing. I think Dylan sort of sensed that, while not being to impressed by lennons efforts, but of coarse would never come right out and say that.
