@@TheLeapofFaith As I stated in my comment this statement was from an interview the Emperor did after His 1966 visit to Jamaica. There is no quote of Him saying "I am not God. Do not worship me." We must very careful with how we spread information and purported quotations. He said that He spoke with some Rastafarians and told them that He is mortal, ( as all physical bodies are) and will be replaced by the coming generations. He also said that He was not an emanation or some type of supernatural projection from the Almighty, in other words He was born of a woman as all humans and His physical will go back to the earth. The question He was answering was for a comment on the belief that He was a reincarnation of Jesus Christ. He did not directly address that for reasons known only to Him. So to summarize, He did not deny being Christ reincarnated but He did admit to having a mortal body born from natural means and He did not say 'I am not God. Do not worship me". The recognition of the Divinity of H.I.M. is a mystical insight and is not necessary for salvation but one should not denigrate the Faith of those who have that insight. It is not understandable by the unaided rational mind. When asked in Jamaica to deny the Rasta belief He said "Who am I to disturb their Faith?". Ok I understand where you are coming from and yes we cannot say for sure if Bob is saved or not, but according to the bishop who baptized him, Bob did repent and also since God is love and full of mercy then maybe Bob is in Paradise, but I agree we cannot say for that is only for the Lord to judge. As to the name Light of the Trinity, I think he was just being named after the light and was not taking that as a personal title. I hope that besides these things you enjoyed the video. Colossians 2:9 and Colossians 1:19. Bob Marley's baptisal name is Berhane Selassie which means "Light of the Trinity", I do not know why EOTC baptises and gives people such names. Indeed he is not the Light of the Trinity, just like Tafari Makonnen is not the Power of the Trinity, these are mere baptisal names.

Let's be serious for two seconds, if that's possible. It's not because we receive as the first name "Light of the Trinity" that we are blaspheming! Otherwise there are many Christian first names that we should not use because they carry important spiritual meanings! That Bob Marley received the Christian name "Light of the Trinity" only implies his desire to bring this light to the world as a believer. And I think this should be the goal of every Christian believer who, through his thoughts, words and deeds bears witness of the Light of the Most Holy Trinity. As the Apostolic Fathers (formed by the Holy Apostles themselves) and then the Fathers of the Church said: “God became Man, so that Man might be made god”! This divinization of Man is only possible through his complete participation in the Divinity, in words, thoughts and actions. In Orthodoxy we call this "Theosis" and it is the central point of the Original Christian Faith and part of the explanation of the Mystery of the Incarnation of our Savior Jesus. This involves our constant repentance, our participation in the Liturgy and our consumption of the Eucharist which is not only "symbolic", as Jesus himself teaches in the Gospel of John at the end of Chapter 6.
