Vin is so amazing......so modest. Bob goes to say goodbye to Vin to wish him well in his retirement and Vin makes the whole conversation about Bob and his return to Hockey. Vin is such a class act.
You know Vin is sooooo humble. He truly loves people too, and I think above all here.. he is... Embarrassed. He just never liked the spotlight being on him, and here in his final year, he couldn't get away from it. I'm from St. Louis, and so I'm not too familiar with Bob Miller, but have certainly heard the name. We had an a annoucer too back in the day, who many think was the greatest of all time. His name was Dan Kelly, and he died much too soon. Check him out in his most iconic call... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pZpSv9fy0QM.html
Yes Sir! The Legendary DAN KELLY..."The puck comes out to the right point, Brian Sutter holds it in at the line, he winds up for shot just outside the right face off circle...Shoots...SCORES! With a CANNONATING Blast of a Slap Shot!!"
For those who simply love the sport of hockey (and not just their own team) Dan Kelly is no stranger, and an icon in his own right... This from a Kings fan since 1970 when just 10 yrs old... used to watch nationally televised Sunday morning NHL games on CBS with my Dad... Those Bruins vs Canadiens vs Flyers vs Black Hawks games were always the marquee matchups, but will never forget that Cup Final when Bobby Orr got pitchforked into the air scoring that OT goal over the Blues... Ol' time hockey, boys... Ol' time hockey!! 🥴😵😵💫
If you remember the round table hosted by current Lakers pxp Bill MacDonald on Prime Ticket Back around 2000, it was Bob, Chick, and Vin. Both Chick and Vin had championship rings; at the time, Bob had only his wedding ring…so glad Bob got his Kings rings in 2012 and 2014. Ironic in that Bob retired the year after Vin did, though Bob’s was forced by his health…
