@@jasongarcia2140”rom hacking” is taking the code of a game and altering it to add your own things or even remake a game however you want. some people do this specifically to make retro games much harder.
Tony and Jason thank you so much for this episode. Bob thank you also. Current skateboarder 41 years old skating since I was 15. Mom was schizophrenic since I was young, Dad skipped out. Wound up getting a masters in biochemistry thanks to skateboarding family keeping me from flying off the rails. only child got guardianship of my mom when I was 27.
I love when great minds come together. I love the core skater episodes but I think it’s so enlightening when people of different disciplines have these kinds of conversations
Such a cool dude. Bob came into our shop in Van to buy some raincoats with his daughter about ten years ago (pre-Saul). We got to chatting. I recognized him, but played it cool asking him "what do you do?" He said "I was on some stuff in the 80s you probably never heard of." No pretense, just super humble and mellow, and clearly had a good relationship with his kid. Cool to see people like that succeed!!
Bob is the best. Truly love everything he does. He’s jump started so many careers, including Scott Aukerman; who created Comedy Bang! Bang!, a podcast that had a show on IFC for 5 seasons. Tony guest starred on it and did great!!!
I don't think Bob is involved in Vince's next project is he? Pretty sure it's a sci-fi series with Rhea Seehorn. Haven't watched the pod yet but hopefully I am wrong and he is involved!
love bob so much..the way he gets into really intimate and sad stuff without sentimentality.. awesome talk. "how about your father?" ah...we shouldn´t do it.....look at me, dude" hahahaha
Man his speech about not getting nervous about something you've already done and know you can do it damn helpful for us old guys getting back on a skateboard after several years. So thank you Bob Odenkirk!! And as always, GREAT F'N SHOW GUYS!!!
@@HawkvsWolf and ❤️❤️ right back atcha' guys. I don't think you really grasp how important your podcast is for us old guys. We get nostalgic and inspired and entertained all at the same time. It's truly a beautiful thing that the Birdman and the GNARLY Wolf are doing. We appreciate you!
"I'm just trying to get back to a point where I can do a Mr. Show again." Netflix should just back up a truckfull of money to Bob's house, say "We'll pay for any of your friends you want to come write and act on the show, no creative notes but you've got to be the showrunner" they'd make a billion dollars.
In this episode, Odenkirk shows the power of vulnerability and honesty. The actor guests seem to be among the most open on this show. His dance-skateboarding is impressive, and his journey in show business has been full of kismet and catastrophe. "Nobody" was a refreshing, offbeat action flick with an understated performance and a few good twists.
never miss an ep, easily one of the best pods without questions!the super in the weeds skating convos are arguably the best, but to intertwine comedic legends is top notch. Love Birdman, Jason, & Bob is a versatile legend, I would be honored to have one of those cups!
Ok, damn I’m a little deeper into the episode and that part about Bobs dad really hits hard. I lost my dad recently and the last couple of years we had drifted apart because of his alcoholism and the same sort of things Bob is talking about.
Listening to Bob talk about his BCS journyley I kinda feel like the real life development of him into something new like headlining a drama made for that perfect organic character development in the first 2, 3 Seasons of the show. Still really love the early seasons and their... rawness/realness
Goddamn this podcast is really working what an amazing guest this guy is so humble Mr. Show is the pinnacle of comedy perfection can't find a bad episode they don't even know how good they are they rule
Ah The Royle Family, iconic working-class Northern English TV... and proper English TV, none of this shite that Americans seem to get in the States that makes us all sound like we're friends with the Queen and love crumpets. NORTHERN ENGLAND!!
Killer ep 🔥🔥 Could you imagine seeing him at second city improv back in the day with Farley. So cool he got to be in the OG Matt Foley skit Living in a van down by the river! 😅 Would love to add one of those cup to my autograph collection 🤩🤩🤩🤩😎
