Red & yellow SOO LINE caboose in ROCK ISLAND colors ? That was a surprise 😲.the sights the realism its very detailed well. Towards the end i was impressed with the GMC FISHBOWL bus. Great video. 👍✅
Back in the 1980's I read about Bob Rivard in Model Railroading magazine. All his scenes were authentic. He must have enjoyed watching his models role through the same scenes he saw as a railfan.
Mr. Hildebrandt, a great video. I hope to see this again, hopefully with the award winning sound design of the other great videos I've seen set on Mr. Rivard's layout. A great job by both you, as a Westerner, it would be great treat to hear that big Espee U-boat's distinctive horn and bell again! Again, thank you for a great video.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, and give such kind words on this video. Bob has done an amazing job, and it is always a joy to see it in person. I was thrilled when the chance came to make a video such as this.
@@SD457500 So it's not your layout? OK. I really enjoyed your editing and film work. I think I see a lot of what I try to do in there. If you care to look, here's a recent video I did all by myself, running two cameras and the throttle. It wasn't easy:) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4w9SC-sYVCI.html
SD457500 - Excellent video of Bob Rivard's Rocky Soo Transfer. Very realistic transfer operation with the Rock Island power and Soo Line caboose. Bob's equipment weathering is second to none .............. absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing this video. Mike
Thank you for the kind comments on this video! Each minute of the video takes me about two to three hours to edit and accurately edit the sound in. I love doing this, and adding an entirely new element of realism to his layout. Many more of these are in the works. I appreciate the comment!
I like how the train changes it's speed, throughout it's journey - like a real train, - rather than plodding along at a snail's pace throughout the video.
Absolutely beautiful scenery! LOVED the highway overpass - great scene. The SOO was a childhood favorite, still is. I also like how the Espee and the CRiPs are also represented!! ;)
I saw this layout first, in a mr issue a long time ago, I like this kind of modeling, from the prototype and from the chilhood memories,, this and other layouts, impulse myself to built now my first one based in one of my favourite railroad spots from the time I was a teenager, regards from argentina
Hello SD457500, I just watched your video and I very liked it! You respect the era all the way and that was a pleasure to watch ;) I dislike when for example someone put on his consist an old engine with modern 53' double stack container...
