I'm glad you're able to appreciate the places that his layout represents! I'm also from the area, and its almost like a little living time capsule to how the Soo Line was back in 1977.
Hi Doug - Excellent job of videotaping Bob Rivard's fantastic model railroad. I have enjoyed several videos of his railroad and never, ever tire of watching operations on this legendary pike. The dubbed-in sound is well done and truly adds to the realism. Thank you for sharing this! Mike
Thanks for the comment Mike! His layout is amazing, and very well done with exacting detail. The sound work is something I LOVE doing, but it takes a very long time to do it right. All of the sounds are real, and getting the right GE chug from actual older GEs was a challenge.
Thanks for the comment! Another one of these videos are already in the works. Good to know you enjoyed the Dresser Turn. Those trains could have almost anything for power.
I enjoy watching cars/locomotives roll through turnouts and on/off bridges. Their relative movement is brilliant! Did I see a curve with negative superelevation? Once again, tremendous!
Thank you for the comment! Bob does an amazing job with model trains, and I'm happy to help show off his work. There are some curves that might have some super elevation.
My first time viewing. I am such a SOO LINE fan. I'm viewing so many videos & films of this fine railroad. I love this layout. My pro engine favorites ( since there are so many on this video) The EMD F unit is this an FP 7 or FP 9 what roadname? 🤔 My second is The SOO LINE EMD is that a SD 7 or SD 9? To conclude I love the flashing light on both your caboose & diesel engine. Fantastic video this gets a 5 star.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ✅👍
