Biggest divisional national ever that year being 1989. And the hottest weather I've ever been in. I remember Bob's Silstar Goldthorpe pushing Keenets Central into second. Absolutely mobbed at the presentation.

Probably one of the best my life in angling interviews to date. So sad though, that all of the top anglers ( legends ) comments on cormorant and otter predation seems to fall on deaf ears as far as the authorities are concerned. Probably why J W is leaving for pastures new. Nice one Bob. Keep the video's, sorry , dvd's coming, they are brilliant.

Some of these top flight puddle anglers wouldn't have a clue on a natural venue , some have never been on a river and sent a stick float down the peg

This initially started because I simply said to Mr Roberts that he should have considered those anglers suffering on the smaller rivers from others that pile in the bait and ruin sport for all. He should have quantified his statement by talking about larger rivers. Thats all. But, a simple question to him about it was met with the usual vitriolic response about Southern Anglers catching their pet fish on the Kennet and Loddon...... Im afraid the interview underpins the character type
