There are a few episodes that are almost 100% knife only, Mountain Challenge and Western Expanse are the two I can remember off the top of my head Edit: Desert Hues is like 90% knife only. The above two (Mountain and Western) are like 99%.

I find myself over-mixing just for that exact reason. Haha

There's a video that's an hour long that has only his knife paint mixing moments the whole hour.

Bob was a great guy, until sadly he fell from grace, and cheated on his faithful wife with a very unfaithful woman named Annette; which for Bob was a horrible sin that quite literally lost him his entire family inheritance. The Bob Ross name has never been the same since Bob started an affair and chose to ruin his family by cheating on his faithful wife. Do not be deceived: God is not mocked. Verily, Bob reaped the wages of his sin, which was humiliation, want for his children, and an agonizing and lonely cancerous death. I’m sure Bob regrets every bad decision he ever made. Praise God for the Good Bob created, as well as the justice that was brought to him by our Just and Loving God. Bob’s wife was not forgotten, and Justice was served. Amen.

I think part of it is he was practicing/using his skills as he did his shows so as time went on and he practiced more and more, he got better
