This episode is the exact reason I love bob's burgers. The interactions between the characters just feels real and healthy, the characters are exaggerated, but they connect with each other almost perfectly.
I still come back to this and appreciate that they maintain magical thinking with Louise during otherwise serious/dark moments, like what happened to Amelia when the plane went down, or being concerned that Santa won't think she's been well behaved enough, or that he won't be able to find them for Christmas if they aren't home. It's a tough balancing act between making her an agent of chaos and giving her realistic behavior for a nine year old girl -- that she still has so much innocence and she's so tender hearted for a kid with such a developed and nurtured sense of the wild and the world.
I'm not sure it needs it. Maybe an extra 5-10secs for a nice ending, but I think it's perfect as a short sweet song. Also I think the clip of Louise and Linda doing the project together is the perfect set piece for this song.
@@Someone-yd3yt I think part of what makes this show so special is that there are these achingly beautiful songs, songs that other artists would release as centrepiece singles from their albums, just tossed away on a thirty second credits sequence, or for some mid episode montage. There's something magical about that. There are also ideas that are tossed away in one episode and never revisited - an example is the Snail and Newt storybooks that made an appearance in an episode from this season, and every scene with Snail and Newt was magical. The final scene where Bob and Linda read to the kids about Newt saying goodbye to Snail made me tear up, and it barely lasted twenty seconds. I didn't even know anything about the story other than this one scene...yet it hit me hard in the feels. This show is a wonder factory.
This was an amazing ep. The visuals in this especially when Louise was doing her presentation on Amelia it was really beautiful and it weirdly gave me a nostalgic feeling and like a feeling on wonder idk. This was great just like the ep where Louise Gene and Tina had plays at the same time. That one made me cry lol. Both are my fave episodes so far
no same, and i looked at the writer of the episodes. guess what. There written by the same person!! He has such a way of incorporating music into the emotion
@@amirahazhar4192 Yeah, it definitely has a different vibe in some ways, but also kind of similar if you think of it as framing Amelia Earhart's death.
I heard this when my daughter was first born. I would sing it to her, every night, and it seemed to soothe her through some tough times. It popped back up and I made it only a few seconds before tears came flooding. She’s babbling “Dada” next to me right now and this song captures that magic perfectly.
I love louise’s development in this episode and this was one of the sweetest episodes in bob’s burgers catalog, but can we take a moment to marvel at gene’s musical abilities? this episode and the christmas episode with the xylophones really showcased that. he may be a quirky kid but he has real talent beyond the fart noises he used to make in the earlier seasons.
While my biggest frown with this show is that they focus too much on Louise and not much on Gene or Tina, this episode was the most outstanding moment in this series. Even more than the movie. Very emotional and inspirational while picking up small pieces of a mother's love for her daughter.
True, a lot of the episodes this season focus a lot on Louis even though Tina had really good development in These Boots Were Made For Stalking. My theory is that the writers know that the show might end soon and are putting out a lot of these artistic and heartfelt episodes and most of these involved Louise.
Amazing how different we can all see things... Louise is my favorite character in the show - She's the most complex and in turn, emotional and truly the smartest of the family. She's a perfect combination of evil-genius and driven by a beautiful moral compass. More Louise, more better if you ask me! I do love that all of us felt the same way about this episode. Really, the most I think about it, it's among my favorite individual 30 minute episodes from TV history. Thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts!
@@jagueci I mean, she gets all the episodes while Tina gets one or two and Gene gets none. Yes, I also love Lousie as a character, but this isn't the Lousie Show. It's too imbalanced. Just like the movie: Lousie-centric, small moments for Tina, almost no mention or development og Gene's internal strife.
Season 13, while having a lot of misses, really came out strong with this episode and "Radio no you didn't" as well as the Christmas episode. Linda's talk with Louise was easily one of her best moments in the show. Granted, Bob is usually the one who gives speeches while Linda is more fun, but I do think it's important how Linda and Louise's relationship has changed over the seasons to a more respectful and loving one Also, RIP to Paul Reubens. Thank you for being one of my heroes
I cannot wait to watch you find your wings Cause I know you're on way Up up up Up to bigger things Oh oh And if the world makes you feel small Just let them watch you fly above it all Some of that magic I see it in your eyes Some of that magic You're meant for the sky Some of that magic Makes me want to find some of that magic
This has been far different from any end credits we've ever seen . Season 13 and 14 have been more emotionally driven and for a good reason. I hope this isn’t a signal for the end but the movie changed things. This scene is for the good ol' memory bank for sure. Thank you bobs burgers. Love you
This song is beautiful. Lost my mother last year and one year is coming up in July. Showing her mom was there to help Louise just a little had me in tears and the song just broke me. I love Bob Burgers and so happy y’all continue to make outstanding episodes.
Same! Def made me miss my mom- she was always there to encourage me and listen... When she passed- I realized I didn't have my mom anymore.. The one who loved me no matter what. This episode was so sweet And the song at the end- that made me cry. I want to learn it and sing it to my daughter. 🥰
@@monamarie1984I’m sorry for your loss 🙏🏾💯! Bob’s Burgers is one of them shows that have funny moments but also emotional ones. I’m pretty sure you can reason with Bob not having his mother despite if he had little memories of her or more. I seriously wished it was an episode of Bob’s mom and we get to see how she acts especially with Bob.
This episode was so damn sweet and this song put it over the top as one of the best episode ever. Watching Louis struggle with the reality of Amelia and thinking she failed only to realize that brave grand risk aren’t don’t always have the result you would expect.
This is and the episode about Bob's grandmother during ww2 are my favourites so far from this season. I always like the episodes that focus on the family and their relatives, and the part in this episode in particular when Linda describes that "heroes don't have to be perfect, just make you feel bigger" about yourself is a lesson I think I'll remember for a while. Thanks for uploading this, Cloudy. :)
This credits scene encapsulates what make Bob's Burger's so special. You can feel the love, joy, purpose, and meaningfulness of life in a family that loves each other without cliched Hollywood 'drama'. Even though they're poor, even though they frequently fail, a single moment like this credits scene is enough to justify a whole life of struggle. I already wanted to be a father, but now...
this episode was just.. beautiful. there are Bob's Burgers episodes that are emotional but this one felt different i guess?? Louise's visuals on her project were outstanding & Linda helping with the project when it was mother's day.. & THIS SONG :((
Yeah this episode made me shed a tear alittle bit. Louise might be a ass sometimes 😂!? But it’s cause she’s adventurous and shit. She loves her brother and sister and parents. She was always the one who was in charge of shit in a way
She really began to really look inside herself with that one and Linda talk really motivated her. Louise and Linda might have differences? But that bond is there, it’ll take more time and deep down I know Louise love her mother like she love Bob
Saw this episode last week, and it’s crazy how Louise is definitely growing up taking some kind of homework project serious. In previous seasons we never really see her take class work or homework as serious. But in this episode we see that she’s beginning to take responsibility. By reading a book she never thought she had interest in about a woman who learned how to fly airplanes and was not afraid to do the impossible of doing it. It makes me happy to see Louise and Linda sitting down and just working on something together. Cause we always see Louise and Linda at odds with each other. Season 14 I believe we really starting to see a lot of emotions in episodes. I hope so cause this is definitely one of the greatest shows I’ve seen in a very long time on FOX! It’s good to see new characters coming in the mix as well. I just wish the original voice of Jimmy Pesto was back. But hey maybe it’s for the best 💯
Season 13 has just been so different in how emotionally deep the show has been. This episode, the Christmas one, the one with Bob’s grandma, and the one where they visit Lily’s grave were just so much more emotionally involved than I would have expected for Bob’s and I absolutely love it. This is why this show is my comfort show. I love it so much ❤
@@notsaying7018 true there’s no one season that has all bad episodes because there were a ton of gems i just feel like they lost a lot of steam for twelve and the beginning of thirteen but these last few episodes were absolutely wonderful they all felt worth the week long wait
I'm not crying, you're crying 🥹 Another excellent episode. Along with Rudy's dinner with his parents, Bob taking the family to visit his mom's grave or telling them the story of their great grandmother breaking up a German spy ring during the war, the writing just keeps getting better and better
I just watched the final episode with this amazing song and beautiful moment. I’m now craving for more. Bob burger can be silly sometimes, but at some special moments it can teach us special things about life or even change the perspective of things.
this episode really pricked at my heart it was sweet and sour, knowing your hero is not someone who succeded but someone who went against societal norms to do something she has a passion for *"Heroes don't have to be perfect, they just have to make you think bigger about yourself"*

This episode was one of the best yet. And this sweet song just was the cherry on top. There is so much thought and care and effort poured into every bit of this show. I can watch this show on repeat for the rest of my life and never get tired of it.
So heartbreakingly lovely it could've been written by Neil Young and you'd say it was one of his best songs. The quality of the music on this show is something that still shocks me, time after time. I don't jibe with it all - some of the songs are a bit too nice for me; but even then it's still good, and when it's better than that it's genuinely great, like this little snippet of a song that only lasts thirty seconds. So many amazing musical moments that are tossed away for a fraction of an episode.
“I’m so sad about Pee Wee dying, I haven’t been able to stop crying for days. I know, I’ll make a nice dinner and put on my favorite show Bob’s Burgers to cheer me up. I’ve been saving the last episode for a few months.” [tearjerker episode, run credits, surprise, it’s Paul Reubens in one of his final roles] Guess I’ll be crying for the rest of the week, folks
They say not a lot of shows keep up their energy after several seasons, but Bob's Burgers Season 13 proves that theory entirely WRONG. This season had some really special and heartwarming eps - 'What About Job?', 'Show Mama From the Grave', 'The Plight Before Christmas', 'These Boots Are Made for Stalking', 'Radio No You Didn't', 'Mother Author Laser Pointer', and finally, 'Amelia'. Season 13 really brought the feels...
For me, season 13 is the best of the series, it has two of the best episodes of the ENTIRE program, coincidentally both written by Loren. When I realized that he wrote this and the Christmas special, I started to respect him even more as an artist.
What an amazing song and expression, I think there is so much in this song it really makes the imagination fly. I do wonder where the legato part of the vocals might come from, or be slightly similar to. It may well be something from hundreds of years ago. Or it just installs itself in your ear instantly.
This song made me cry, feel a line & not loved because it brought up those past get I have felt since I was just a child & having a different father then my 4 other siblings & me being left out one a lot of family stuff. This song really got & that’s extremely rare that it happens.
