Denali stated that she was doing an homage to a Mesoamerican tale we have in latin america, so in a way i think her look resemble an Aztec Quetzalcoatl warrior in which she use the colours of a bird name Quetzal that is representative of Guatemala mainly -as far as i 'm concerned- and the other centroamerica countries. Way to pay an homage to her Mexican roots imo, and i think it must have been quite hard to make an outfit like this look that feminine since Aztec warriors are nothing like it - so proud of her representing us in her fashion Btw, it's not a Cacatua lewk as some people want to make it pass as, it's a Quetzal

If I were Tina concepting her outfit, I would have gone steampunk colors and metal, with my "train" billowing off my head like the steam coming out of a smokestack. The tracks just looked very one-dimensional and cartoonish. Which could have been the point, but it wasn't my favorite.

I absolutely live for Denali's Quetzalcoatl look. It was just, so beautiful, so well done, it moved so beautifully, the details, like the hair looks like so many designs of Quetzalcoatl, and I can't think of any South/Central American indigenous culture has really been on the show before, and the Feathered Serpent is so major in so many of those religions, such a cool idea to play with for a dress. Two of the best looks, both tied to their heritage, both in the bottom, one deserved and one I really don't think was deserved from the performance. I cry.
