First time i heard these I was in america the week the queen died. I’d had days of polite apologies from americans assuming I cared about the monarchy. Then 2 london lads come on stage with the drummer in an arsenal dreamcast shirt and spent their set addressing the royals etc. it was funny and the american crowd didn’t get most of their jokes but i became a big fan
The UK has more opportunities than the overwhelming majority of countries on earth just saying. The kind of poverty people have here is not food poverty but “digital poverty”. Not saying the system is perfect but cmon. Tired of all the complaining.
I think the point is that in countries that are really wealthy, there shouldn’t be working people having to use food banks to feed their families. Your comment is a very typical ‘I’m alright, Jack’ attitude.
@maryburke5423 At least we get food banks. In other countries they don't even have food banks, clean drinking water, or consist electricity. They also don't have our economic opportunities. I get annoyed at complainers who offer no solutions, it's easy to criticise the man in the arena anyone can do that, but mist complaining haven't a clue how to actually make it better.
His message is more about positivity, hope and health. He's making observations of the social climate not complaining. I might be biased because I'm a fan but I find most of his songs have a hopeful message. His answer to all the bullshit he's experienced like racism poverty and violence all spills out in his music and I find it very honest and relatable.
