TX for posting! Ever notice BD's voice got so much better, deep as he aged, especially here in the 70's. Made it easier for him to switch genres. The hip, funky stuff he'd do on his show to these swing numbers his older fans liked...just tragedy that he died in 73 at 37. The things he coulda done. But in those 37 years he did more than anyone else has done in a lifetime of full blessings. RIP. Music remains. #keepthemusicalive
i adored this man, i started to hate the press because of bobby darin, the press thought that he was not good enough for sandra dee, they belittle him, they hounded them until they divorced in the process they destroyed her, she never got over their divorce, are you listening jennifer aniston, sandra never pretended to be happy, it s sad, i saw her one day with their son and she said that after having bobby she did not want anybody else, i felt sorry for her.
I'm reading "For One More Day" (Mitch Albom). In the story, the protagonist's mother sings this song and snaps her fingers. I just wanted to check it out.
Not many fans of Mr. Fabulous, a superstar, realize this. It is heartbreaking. I've read almost all of the BD books, including Dream Lovers. He was suffering the last few months of his life and it appeared no one was actually offering him the help he desperately needed. He is one of a kind and irreplaceable.
