I worked on this album, we never finished the record cause Bobby passed. but we recorded some real nice songs... the experience was so amazing working w Bobby... He was an amazing singer and person. Memories listening to this song. He wrote this song about his wife Terry!
just discovering this song. Its the most gorgeous song in the world! I always loved Bobby, his whole family, Switch and Debarge. Been reading up on the struggles he endured. His spirit is so heavy with me right now. Just sending up love and prayers and energy to his soul, spirit. Thanks for giving us a window into this musical creation - tried to find it on itunes but couldn't. RIP Bobby! You gave us such gorgeous music. I love you for it honey!
We have to add Prince to the greatest gone too soon. He made some beautiful music too, especially his ballads, Adore, Beautiful Ones, Scandalous, the songs goes on on and on.,
This is so beautiful. As I sit here and listen to Bobby's voice, I feel that he's still around somewhere. I hate that he had to leave this earth so young, but may he RIP always :)
@tunbev I agree with you 100%! Bobby's voice is like pure magic. You can't get enough and you'll never want to stop listening to. REAL love songs it what I'm talking about! You're right! It's not over! :)
grrh!!! It is so aggravating to know that we have no way to buy these classics! Yet, i'll bet you if their names were Osmond, the music would stll be available!!!
@hoodhoseforever.....Yes, you're right! However, ALL of the soul classic albums/cds by Black artists are not available. I've had to pay 'an arm and a leg' to obtain certain classic cds because I'm one who is also interested in the liner notes. That, is unattainable by downloads.
Bobby even talked in a Falsetto voice. And also a tenor . Listen to some old interviews N you'll see. THAT SPEAKS FOR ITSELF He hits the same high notes as Phillip Bailey did in the songs REASONS and KEEP YOUR HEAD TO THE SKY . Thomas Russell Jr from the Stylistics is the only one that's up there with Bobby as far as falsettos. Truth. Prince was a more talented instrumentalist but Bobby had a better falsetto. TRUTH
Everybody keep saying Bobby is the best falsetto. So yall rank him higher than Eddie Kendricks? Don't get me wrong Bobby is dope, but Eddie Kendricks was that man.
Kendricks' falsetto was nice but not a lot of range with it. I think Prince's falsetto is/was better than both of them and all of his ballads prove it.
@@dham629 , I don't why prince is even in this conversation. Prince can't compare to Bobby or Eddie. I love Eddie but I have to give the crown to Bobby. Bobbys voice was not only high , it was angelic and magical, with a touch of pain and emotions no one could match.
@@slamecatzwell5544 I don't think you've listened to enough Prince ballads. Adore alone murders anything Bobby ever sung. Here's a listening assignment. Go listen to Prince's Here on Earth, Insatiable, Scandalous, International Lover, Adore and Damn U, to name a few. Bobby's falsetto was great, yet he and it was still one dimensional compared to Prince. If you take me up on the list. You'll see what I'm saying. All the vids are here on RU-vid.
@@dham629 nothing Prince ever sang muders anything Bobby ever sang or even comes close in my opinion. We all have our opinions and I dont need an assignment to help me know which singer i like the far far better. Several of these songs I already know but i may listen to the one I dont recognize and tell you again that Bobby was miles ahead of Prince in falsetto and regular range land. Prince sounded more like a sissy in my opinion.but Bobby sounded beautiful and handsome and he was. Prince sounded prettu and freaky.
