Hi Bobby. Somehow I missed seeing this 'til now. It's so great to have this available to remember Buster along with the stories! Such a great memory for us all!... Tom Robinson
We just knew today that our dear friend Buster B. Jones has passed away few days ago. We are extremely sad about it. Buster was always very sweet and friendly with us. Buster came in Italy in 2000 and we met him, for the first time, in that occasion. And we had great time together! With all our love, Anita and Davide
I was considering returning to playing out again and I went to a local open mic to see how I might measure up against the local players. Bobby Gibson showed up and he just blew the roof off the place! Every person was on their feet screeming! I went home with my tail between my legs! Needless to say, I decided to hit the woodshed and did not return to seek a gig there. LOL! Bobby was very kind and gave me some great encouragement!
"I am extremely sad to let you all know that our friend and fellow guitar player Buster B. Jones has passed away. It happened yesterday afternoon (Feb 2nd) around 2PM PST in Eugene, Oregon. The cause was liver failure. Bobby Gibson was playing his guitar for Buster B. at the time of his passing. All of us who cared about Buster B. warned him of this possibility. He understood and tried to fight, but this time the demon won. He was only 49." Thom Bresh Posting at Chetboard
@MrDieselpower78 Mr Diesel, I recomend Chet Atkins for this fingerstyle guitar that we play. Chet played the melody, that will make it a lot easier for you to learn this method of playing. Bobby
@fenderboy88 Fenderboy, what is interesting about this style of playing, you can play nearly any type of music. Country, Pop, Jazz, etc. If you get a chance listen to Jim Nichols. Bobby
