One of my favorite all time drummers! I has the privilege of seeing him with Sebastian Bach and I have the Spastic Ink records. For me he and Ron are two of the greatest metal musicians ever!!!
Spastic Ink is such a nutty ass project. Drumming that makes your brain hurt! Bobby lives in those uncomfortable spaces/odd time sigs. He and Ron operate on a different frequency musically. Fuckin killer musicians!
I LOVE the woderful complex music of SPASTIK INK - so, so sad, there had been only two CDs.... Bobby is my fave in drumming - not human, absolutly mind blowing! THANK you Bobby for your druming!
I admire Bobby a lot and this interview only made my respect bigger. great work on the questions and great answers too! we need more from you all!!! thanks!
hey Oliver -- of course I cannot speak for Bobby but I can only say thank you for your comment. means a lot to me when I read that people enjoy my videos and are inspired by them
His use of the back cymbals is even more insane on his instructional DVD. I highly recommend checking out "Peppered Cancer" on RU-vid if you haven't already
Its crazy how much him and ron sound alike. I mean they are brothers so its not that crazy of a thought but if I close my eyes I cant tell the difference.
Love this channel by the way! Great and informative content guys. As a huge metal fan, I'm really digging the attention your giving to some of metals finest.
Who’s my favorite drummer? Bobby Jarzombeck. Who’s the best drummer in the world? Bobby Jarzombeck. These questions are so easy to answer! Disappointed he didn’t try out for Dream Theater. He would have killed it.
Being a bassist it would be a challenge to play with the jarzombeck brothers. I would be lost. You would have to know music theory inside and out to play with these musicians.
totally sounds like Alice in Chains going post Meshuggah/Strapping Young Lad metal with twist of Spastic Ink. weird. not exactly my cup of tea, but I know what you mean
that's a question that can't be answered who's best. Its about style, origin of type. I love Mark Wonder. but different style on DIADl. Jarzombek fit better. That covers 2 of many incredible drummers. who can't say who's best & I'm a guitar player
Sometimes to much is just that and Spastic Ink is just to much. It makes no sense and just tries to hard to be off the wall and chaotic. If doing something that makes no sense is your thing then ink is right up your alley. Even Beethoven, Bach, and Mozart had flow to their madness. Ink has no flow....just trying to show off musically.
