The Blazers has so many vets to trade. It's crazy that they did absolutely nothing at the deadline and now is looking at the tax line.

Nothing was available at the deadline. It cost nothing to wait until the off-season. Need to move 4 or 5 of the vets.

a max salary tank team... why ?? Because the owner gets a HUGE check at the end of season for TV revenue sharing. Portland found a backdoor to maximize profits from bad basketball.

other than JAZZ on west they got weakest lineup.they got bunch of unproven talent.they just need to cash out vets like-grant/bogdon/robert williams and tank 1 more year to try to get cooper flag.

@@hamadalkaabi2160 It's not a "this year problem". It's a half a decade long problem for the Blazers. How many players that were on this roster, (that could still be on this roster helping Dame in the playoffs right now) are on other playoff teams and a significant player? Josh Hart, Larry Nance, Nickeil Alexander Walker, Robert Covington. All guys who are good defenders, and the Blazers defense got progressively worse over the last 5 years. This team has, and has had, a serious problem for years.

Next year will obviously be another transition year for Portland, which is fine because their ceiling just isn’t very high right now anyway. But as of July 2025 they will need to really decide on their path forward, I think. If Scoot and Shaedon take steps forward, and learn to play well with Simons and Ayton, and Portland gets a high lotto pick in the ‘25 draft, and the ‘24 picks show promise next season, Portland will all of a sudden be a very interesting young team.

It took a long time to accept the rebuild. I would bottom out and lose all 82 games. For next couple of years. Hopefully hit couple number 1 draft picks. And get cornerstone player for next 10 years plus.

Brogdon to the Spurs is a great idea to clear that cap space, the team needs shooting Reed Sheppard if you trade off Simons , or Dalton Knelcht (although not a good defender but can shoot) if you don't trade Simons. I wouldn't take Knelcht with the 4th pick but if the Blazers fell to 7 I probably would. I personally think the Blazers need a small forward . I'd rather have Reed Sheppard over Simons. Sheppard can shoot and defend

Scoot was soooooo bad the start a the year i think it was a good move to bring him off the bench after he came back from injury.....he got more confidence and started to improve i think......i do think they will make some trades and billups will leave after this year.....he didnt come to pdx to ruin his career and be the most losing coach ever

We don't need to blow it up. Unlike your 💩 team, we find gems that no other teams wants and turn them into quality role players. Meanwhile, your team has a locker room cancer like Ayton, a logjam of guards like Scoot, who looks like a bust, all selected by a incompetent gm, who also chooses to not trade Grant and Brogdon in the deadline for picks. Betcha he will gets screw up again in the offseason. Good luck, y'all gonna need it.

Sharpe Simmons and Scoot all have to be taking and making lots of shots to be effective if they arent scoring they are a big liability none are good defenders or passers. Our guards are mids at best. Giving Simmons that contracts was terrible. Grant is our only good players Trailblazers GM’s have been atrocious and have been for years. Scoot can’t shoot 3’s how is he really gonna be a dominant player at 6’0 He shot 27% from 3 in the G league 😆

It is a different era, but Tony Parker was not great as a 19 year old. A lot of my fellow Spurs did not want him and he was benched in his firsr playoff run. Not that Scoot will be TP, just the point guard spot is tough for teenagers

@@mrpzpdx Scoot is 6'3" and has crazy long arms and wide shoulders. He's also jacked, size hasn't been his problem, fouling too much and not having good defensive instincts has been his problem on D. He shot 27 percent from 3 in the D-league but just finished the year shooting about 32 percent from 3. That's a marked improvement! Still not good, but 4 and a half percentage points in the right direction over much better defenders. I'm not going to sit here and tell you Scoot was a good player his first year, but there's still plenty of reason to hope he'll be a very good NBA player in a few years.
