In pop culture, Bobby McFerrin is most well known for singing "Don't worry. Be Happy". But he is a living legend. His album "The Voice" is considered a classic and is often studied to this day.
This performance is one of the greatest in the history of music. The powers to change the human voice in this way are truly astounding. I'm privileged to have had to honor to meet Bobby in person and hear him live multiple times. In person, he is a musical force to be reckoned with. Long live Bobby and may his music be forever eternal!

I remember watching this the same night it aired ... Bobby is amazing he made everyone on stage part of that amazing, that just comes to show you how great he really is.
Watched this season from start to end, and being a huge McFerrin fan, (knew him before Don't Worry), it just capped off a great season. The reverence that all these great singers give him, it shows just how much of an icon in the singing world he is. I have seen him 2 times, and had the privilege of being in one of these improv groups with about 40 that just came up on stage. And EVERYONE is completely different. He started this one with his song Drive, but it just morphed into this. Amazing.
Bobby Mcferrin may mostly only be remembered for Dont worry", but this guy should be remembered for so much more, the fact that he made most of his songs on the spot, made an entire orchestra by voices, he is a legend

Last night was the first time i had watched this show and i didn't find any of the acts as amusing and as amazing as this single performance truly amazing truly genius and all around amazing... Oh By the way it was amazing ... Bobby is a true genius of music
The thing that not a lot of people do not realize Is after his song Drive in the very start of the video it is all improv on the fly. Just what ever pops up in his mind he goes with....... Anyone who enjoys music should look up bobby for his improvs each one is a one time masterpiece of music.

Bobby is true gangsta.. Look at this guy, looks like he just put on clothes to go to Wal-Mart and pick up some toilet paper, but decided to drop in Sing-Off and put on one of the most memorable performances that most of the viewers of this video will ever see.
@xtingu I remember taking road trips with my family in the late 80s and my dad playing Him in the car. I'm my own walk man is my favorite song from him.
This is why you can LOVE singing! What you do with the vocal instrument...I can't even put it into words. He didn't 'command' these singers. If you are well trained in group performance, you know what to do by what you hear.
