Bobby Pierce And Hudson O'Neal React After Photo Finish At Deer Creek Speedway 

Kudos to O'Neal for owning up to his mistakes on that final lap. His disappointment was for his team and that shows a lot of character on his part. Pierce ran a great final lap also. Congrats to both.

Okaaaay! The flagstand is not the finish line. The transponder loop is at the 2nd E of Speedway in "Deer Creek Speedway" on the front stretch wall. Yes it appeared Hud beat Bobby to the flagstand but it doesn't matter because the race was over just before the flagstand. Personally I'd rather see them race to the line then go off transponders but I don't make the rules. Also the idea that the Lucas Oil series robbed O'Neil and favored Bobby who is a WOO regular this season is just nonsense.

The tranponder line has to be right if Lucas oil was gonna screw someone it would have been Pierce just for simply not being a Lucas Regular

I think if Hudson looked at it from a different perspective he would be happy with the result. He was in the race, his car was good, he was going as fast as he could, he got a little too high and over the berm. It's a story as old as racing. How many people watching the race would give something precious to be in the car. I know I would. Good job Hud, there's next time.

I agree this angle proves Hudson was ahead "at the line", but the only thing that matters is where the transponder sensor is on the track, and according to that, it was Bobby by 2 thou so there you have it. And they did check the transponder locations on both cars to make sure it was fair.

all you clowns think its the flag stand that matters, timing line is what determines it. transponders were verified to be in correct positions in the cars, bobby won with a clean slider.

And that time is the only difference in the talent of these two right now at any given track any given night. Gotta love it. That’ll be in their minds now especially Huds through World 100 right into Knoxville.🏳️🏁🇺🇸

That was a hell of a run for both of them nothing to a shamed for i thought it looked like o neal had em but that mite have been the Camara angle to awesome run that was a blast to watch

For some of you claiming to be dort fans its comical that you don't know that the transponder loop isn't right under the flagstand..this isnt a hot wheels track where you slap the checkered finish line right by the flagstand...they use the transponders for a reason

Not sure where the scoring line is but from the flag stand you can see Hudsons white trim on his nose ahead of Bobby's. Good race either way but I think Hudson won.

Why wouldn't they just line the transponder pick up.....how hard would it be to just line it up with the flagstand then there's no BS I understand that if there's never a close photo-finish race it really would never even be known where the start-finish line was just don't understand why you wouldn't just lined up with the flag stand

I don't care what race track you go to. When they put in their timing and scoring loop. For their transponders. The finish line should be right. in the middle of the flag stand. No ifs, ands or buts about it. And there should be a mark painted on the wall. So everyone knows where it's at. It shouldn't be one foot before the flag stand. It shouldn't be one foot after the flag stand. It should be right. In the middle of the flag stand. I was an assistant flag man. Had a racetrack. on interstate 90 W. of Deer Creek. back in the 90s. that runs Sprint cars. and there was always a chalk line. Put across the race track. from the infield to the wall. Right in the middle of the flag stand. So everyone knew where the fitting. where the finish line was. So there was number question about it. And no BS like there was in the race last night. Nobody knew where the finish line was. when it came to people in the stands. or the racers or the announcers. Which leaves? a big question mark? And opens it up for people to say that the officials. chose whoever they wanted to win. I thought Deer Creek was supposed to be such a big, special race track. But yet nobody knows where the hell to start finish line is. Looks to me like it's kind of a country bumpkin. operation. I don't pay that much attention to late models. But I'd say the driver in the blue car got screwed.

Hudson won that race. They made a horrible call. People talking about angles. The camera is from behind the finish somewhat, and it still shows hudson in front of pierce. With the camera angle like that it would have helped the cause of pierce winning, and it still didnt. The 1 car was in front of him.
