Such is the way Bobby sings that you just feel you know him, or that he knows you. Saved one of the best vocals till near the end of his career. R.I.P Bobby, the world has lost a real voice and a gent.

Solid wisdom right there at the beginning. Many in bands sometimes view the singer as a 'narcissist, self-centred blah blah' . As a frontman myself, who's also been a guitarist and bassist i say; AMEN BOBBY & SLY STONE! Exactly right.. you're communicating / selling a story, a feeling, trying to evoke an emotion.. its about moving that audience.. most dont know or care about the technicalities of tuning, key changes, etc etc.. its what they FEEL and the singer is talking to them predominantly, most of the time.. RIP legend x

He came to Kansas City Mo to the liberty memorial about 15 years ago. It was only 10 bucks to see him. He really put on a show. True legend, never will be another. I love his song Facts of life check it out.
