Love me some Bobby they don't make them songs anymore those songs and singers were one of a kind good old school the older the better it sounds the singer may be gone but my God did he left his God given gift with us RIP Bobby
All the years listening to Harry Hippies my first time meeting Mary Hippies, was last night June 21,2023 absolutely amazing singing. Harry is still just as insanely fantastic today as when I first heard him almost two decades ago. One of my favorite legends of all time.💜
1970 baby here reminiscing in 2024. My parents music brings back happy memories of childhood. It was good times, miss them but blessed to have had them.
I hope know one that's this the wrong way, but I am so proud of my people. The beautiful art that we have given the world after so much hate and torment. Rising from hell and still stepping up. It gives me strength.

Got to see Bobby in Detroit back in the day. This man was simply fantastic. A true artist who gave his soul in every performance. You are missed and thank you for your great body of work and entertainment you gave to us all !

PHHBD Bobby. Story goes Altrina belted out one of his songs while she worked as a BurgerKing cashier. With that voice, he promptly signed her up on a tour
Truly missed Bobby your songwriting is unmatched and your storytelling is like we are right there viewing. So much soul and emotion in this song rip Bobby! Especially in this covid world songs like this takes us back and give us a moment to get away.
love that song. was married 40 years to a black man until death parted us........Bobby brings back good old memories! R.I.P. and say hello to my hubby up there!!!
I saw him several times in the UK from 1991, including this concert.. I met him and some of the band at the Jazz Cafe in Camden. Total pro - entertainer - a one off. Changed my life for sure. Very fond memories. RIP Bobby
each to his own..ok? I can not believe however, that 322 folks gave this a thumbs down. I would like to you 322 folk to, if you can and if you will, present a singer/storyteller (male or female, black or white, of any faith or creed) with a backing band who can do it better than than this man (R.I.P. Bobby). In my opinion, you are looking at the the greatest soul singer (barre only Sam Cooke) that has ever lived,
I lost by Brother to Hurricane Dorian...he was a Harry....and no one could bring him to safety...harry was too nuch weight to carry around....today is his birthday! This song is dedicated to his memory!
This song written by Jim Ford for Bobby Womack was originally a joke tribute to his happy go lucky bass playing brother, it turned tragic when Harry was killed a year later by a jealous girlfriend, Bobby continued to sing it in his honour
