Now this is a concert for people who love music. Instruments, live singing, no lip syncing, no scantly clad women shaking their ass! I could say more but I’ll leave it at that! RIP Mr. Womack!
If my father (a true hustler and player) were alive today, I'd share this video with him. Bobby Womack, Johnny Taylor, and Al Green were his main sauce when he'd bring 3 or 4 thousand dollars to my mother on Saturday morning, after gambling all night Friday night. Sometimes he wouldn't be back 'til Monday afternoon, because wherever he was, no matter how drunk... he was going to work first before coming home. My mother was spoiled for 54 years, and no man can't fill his shoes. This was my stepfather, and I've wanted nothing more than to be but half the man, he didn't have to be. Thanks, Big Al! Peace

I was in an a cappella, singing group name, DC’s finest. We had the privilege and honor to be the opening act for Mr. Bobby Womack at Constitution Hall in Washington DC. What a great show man and performer. The man likes to take his shoes off on stage while doing his show 😮 R I P Mr Womack.
He was doing it so GOOD, he was loosing his voice. Thank God he didn’t listen to Clive Davis. This man was a true entertainer when real entertainment was leaving us! IJS
All Of The Legends Love Singing And Spending Time With Their Audience And They Sing With Their Voices And Hearts!!!! They Love Performing It Wasn't Working To Any Of Them!!! We Don't Have Many Legendary Icons Left!!! Thank You For Sharing!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I was privileged to work for United Artists in the 70’s in the NW part of the Country and Bobby was one of our Flagship Artists. His feel for the unique form of Soul/RB he invented was light years ahead of others. First Rap Artist telling wonderful stories of his life experiences that sometimes went on for 30 minutes. When “Nobody Wants You When Your Down and Out” was released I thought it was a brand new composition (wrong) we really busted it to get AM Radio on it . Finally we convinced the top Pop Station in Seattle to play it and help get it started. The night before Bobby came to Seattle play a ClubDate his brother Harry was killed he came and delivered a great Show. His ability was to write such great songs he was always a contemporary legend. He was a total gentleman . Glad he was placed in the Rock and Roll hall of Fame prior to passing. RIP we miss you Bobby!!!

I had the privilege to see this ICON again for the last time in Miami and I went down from my date to shake Mr. Bobby Womack's hand while he was performing on stage. He reached down and we shook hands. That made my night out of all the other performers at this concert. I have watched this video several times and tears enter my eyes each time because this ICON sings from his soul and you can feel it in his lyrics. He was my main man throwing down. R.I.P Mr. Womack. There will never be another.

I was really young and my mom and her friends used to play this along with other great r&b songs but I could feel and relate to it. Hearing this concert is so refreshing. Just when I thought that I had lost something along the way this concert brought it all back to me. Rest peacefully in heaven Mr. Bobby Womack. October 23, 2023.
This man was amazing, been listening to all of his albums in order the last few days and every song makes me smile because I can feel how much emotion he put into each one. He loved what he did
My Granny’s and great aunts favorite! He got much play in the kitchen during the holidays while we cooked up a feast. Great memories! Honest music…rest in peace Bobby Womack 🙏🏽🕊️
My whole entire family love Bobby Womack always has and always will happy Mother's Day all to all women's and grandmother's and great grandmother from Bobby. Womack the year two thousand and twenty three❤
There was never an Artist like Bobby ever. He was a Black Songwriter with the abilities of the brilliant late Burt Bacharach and the Showmanship of the best of R@B Singers combined. Nobody gave it to him except the Lord and he ran with it. While he had a very long career it was too short those who never saw him missed a life experience to absorb the unique beauty of the Black music genre. I miss his music and wisdom I was so lucky to have served him.
