Bobcat 743 glow plug replacement part 2 

It looks like you need to replace the clamp on the fuel line on the bleed. I have the same unit. Your videos are great and real. Yes you did some tests and explanations incorrectly, but the end result was perfect. I also like the lack of profanity. This is very refreshing. I subscribed. Keep up the good work and thanks for taking the time to do this. Putting the information out for us makes your repairs take ten times longer for you I'm sure, so I just wanted to know your efforts are much appreciated.

I don't know how the hell you removed those glow plugs with a 12 mm wrench. There isn't enough room to turn it or even make enough contact on the hex head to move it at all. I wound up taking a 12mm deep well socket and ground it down enough to fit over the hex head. After that it was easy.

Thanks for the video I have a Kubota v2203 I'm putting in a welder. The motor fires right on up in the summer when i bought it but gonna change glow plugs anyway because they look like the original.

I fix my own cars, but have no idea about Bobcat maintenance, so I'll be looking at your other vids. Thanks again for your vids, it really helps seeing how it's done by a real person. Assuming you're a real person. . . I can't afford taking it to a Bobcat dealer!

Thanks! I had the same problem and spent the winter swearing at Bob and using starter fluid thinking my unit was a POS! It runs fine once started so I figured there was something up in the ignition dept. Right now, it's buried in mud, but once I get her out, it's tune up time! And, new tires.

I got an old 743 not starting I had a guy tell me there was a start in the start wire do you have a video showing how to install the toggle switch

I need to do mine but I'm going to just start with the first 3.

I was having a problem starting it. I had to give it a shot of starting fluid to get it to run. After installing the new glow plugs, it starts right up. thanks

Ah, that's how you get those round nuts off! I have asked a seller and a diesel mechanic and neither knew how. my brain was saying do it the way you did but I wasn't sure.

i have a 641 Bobcat n it's a 2 cyc , i want to rebuild it but i look for a books for the 641 to rebuild n i can,t find a book for a 2 cyc bobcat . i have never rebuild a bobcat tractor but by watching u it look easy, i know how to rebuild cars n trucks but never try to rebuild a diesel. enjoy all ur videos , thanks, Joe from South Texas

Great Video very helpful, a new ignition switch with key would have save you from rewiring? The way the new ignition swithch works is turn the key to the left for about 15 secs then turn the key to the start position once started turn to on position? Thanks again P.S. if you search ebay you might find glow plugs alittle cheaper than $20 ea?

great info thnx, by the way, does your 743 roll away if its not on level ground, mine does and its the same model as yours, also the rhs pedal, (crowd bucket) tilts back by itself, any clues, you seem very knowledgeable on these machines ,

The question I have is there a special socket (12mm) that you used to remove the back 3 glow plugs? I tried using my 12mm deep socket on my 1/4” set but the wall of the socket is too thick and won’t fit over the plug to unscrew it. Any suggestions? I’m ordering a glow plug removal set that has a 12mm socket. I’m not convinced this will work but I have to try. Thanks.
