I have a Bobcat E85 long arm , I put the felon fmx 50 on my machine. . I clear land with my unit. It can mulch 6 inch nicely, 8 to 10 inch intermittently. And I found that I do not need boats safety screen . I never ever use the safety screen .. there has been no need for it . You can control your mulch with that head on there ..
What kind of flow are you getting to the auxiliary? Do you feel that it’s sufficient to run the head well? As far as weight, do you have issues booming out or sweeping?
Bobcat added a case drain when I purchased the Fecon and they had to set the E50/Fecon flow up when they installed it. It does pretty good but it’s not going to be like some of the huge roadside mulch Wes you see. I can mulch up to about 4” fairly quickly and easily. Much bigger than that and it begins to big down more. It will do it but it takes a lot more time.
@@tonythrasher3913 it's fair when you have been in the business for 28 years. And owned Bobcats and other brands. Bobcat has one hydraulic pump making controls very jerky. Most mini excavators have 3 hydraulic making controls smooth and well balanced. If your throwing weight to fast makes machine tippy. Enjoy
@@rontopping2048 not sure how long it’s been since you’ve driven a Bobcat excavator but my 2019 isn’t jerky at all, actually it’s very smooth, depending on the operator. Obviously any of them can be jerky if you jerk the controls. With 1000lbs out about 20 feet, if you lower the boom quickly, yes it will be jerky.
